I am impressed! Lid design very well done, very clever! This came with two lids and one adaptor that can be used on either of the lids to raise height. Lid #1 did not work. Lid #2 did not work. Lid #1 with adaptor did not work. Lid #2 with adaptor worked!!! I am so happy to have a coffee pot again and that I did not have to buy a whole new coffeemaker! My coffeemaker is a 12-cup Melitta MDL46893. When the carafe broke, I could not find a replacement anywhere, not even on the Melitta website. I emailed Melitta via their website and received a 'standard' answer that included a link to their "sister company," Hamilton Beach, who "makes carafes for them." The HB website did not have one either! Frustrating! I like my Melitta coffeemaker, but I am no longer a fan of their company because they still sell this model coffeemaker but do not provide replacement carafes for it, and this is not a standard type carafe, it's very high. Shame on Melitta. When this coffeemaker breaks down, I will not purchase a Melitta product again. . . . But, back to this universal carafe by Crucial: It's perfect, very cleverly designed lid system, good quality. I highly recommend this carafe. Crucial saved the day!

I purchased this item as a replacement for the glass carafe that came with my Hamilton Beach FlexBrew coffee maker. I had read reviews that it was a great replacement. While the carafe is easy to clean and it pours without spilling, the height of it is just not quite enough for it to trip the filter basket into releasing coffee. I also didn't care for the fact that you have to completely remove the lid to fill the pot versus flipping the lid up. Not a deal breaker, but the fact that it's just a little too short to work will have me returning it.If anyone has found a replacement Carafe for the Hamilton Beach FlexBrew coffee maker, please respond.

The media could not be loaded. We needed a glass carafe to fit the DeLonghi DCF2212T coffee pot, and this one worked just fine. The 12-cup glass carafe comes with two different lids and one adapter that fits into the grooves of each lid. Therefore, this offers four selections to fit most standard coffee makers.The glass carafe had a slightly different shape from the original DeLonghi coffee pot, but it did fit into the space without a problem. However, it is the cover that connects under the coffee maker’s water reservoir that enables the coffee maker to work, and allows the coffee to drip into the carafe. We used one of the lids along with one of the adapters on the top, and this made a perfect connection. The coffee from the DeLonghi coffee maker flowed directly into the carafe and without spilling a single drop.

So, I received this "universal" Hamilton Beach carafe because my original arrived broken. It came with two options for lids, which was fine. However, upon trying to use the one that fit the carafe, we ended up having to actually hold the part of the coffee maker that tells it the carafe is present so it will drip. What a hassle to stand there and hold this thing while I wait for my coffee. I mean, it is already bad enough that I'm not awake yet, hence why I need my coffee, but then to have to stand next to a coffee maker and hold it so the coffee will drip makes my morning turn to sludge in a heartbeat. I did request a return, and the third-party seller's reply was quite strange and didn't make much sense. Ultimately, I had to request a full refund through Amazon, and I'm going to have to return the carafe. This is all such a mess. "Universal" is not always universal. This is definitely a cautionary tale for me. I will not be ordering a generic product as a replacement again. Please be weary if you purchase this because it may not fit without your involvement.

Had a terrible time trying to get a replacement carafe for a Nostalgia Products coffee maker that broke almost immediately. They kept saying "we're still waiting for them". That said, the new carafe has a six-way "fit" setting, so many brands can use this one. Hopefully it will last for a while. The bad point is the price!! With shipping, tax, etc, it came to $40+ The coffee maker only cost a few dollars more, so this was one of those transactions in the bite-the-bullet-because-there's-not-much-you-can-do-anyway category.

For an inexpensive "backup' carafe this seems terrific. The handle is adhered on, rather than mechanically fixed (like Cuisinart's, for instance), which probably accounts for the considerable price difference. We got this as an emergency "whoopsie" for the Cuisinart DGB-700BC, and it came out of the box set up for exactly that machine. This comes with a couple of different headpieces and an adapter, so it'll probably fit a few hundred models --- there's an extensive list here in the description. The bottom contour fits the Cuisinart DGB-700BC hotplate perfectly. The profile of this carafe is somewhat different (squatter at the bottom), so the fluid level won't seem quite the same. It works. And as a $10 hedge against $25 breakage, it seems like a good choice.

Did not fit my coffe pot. I did not check the few that they listed that it didn't fit. My problem. Do check pots that they don't fit.. carraffe seemed sturdy and good quality.

The carafe works as advertised. Comes with a variety of attachments to fit all the brands it claims it will work with. It works with our Cuisinart coffee maker. Sturdy handle and sleek design. What's nice is the coffee pours into the cup and not onto the counter, i.e., it the coffee doesn't leak around the lip as some pots do. For me, it was better than buying a new coffee maker.
