Pentair 471696 Igniter and Bracket Replacement MiniMax NT LN Pool/Spa Heater

I was concerned about reviews that mentioned bad packaging and broken parts. I found the packaging to be excellent and the box has a label stating the part is fragile, so perhaps that issue has been corrected. It installed quickly and easily (once I figured out how to remove the front panel of the heater!) and worked like a charm.(PS - this fixed an E04 error, which is supposed to be the fan, yet the fan was blowing. Our issue was that the igniter would not strike up and start heating, so instead of paying a technician for a visit and then full price for the parts he brings, we decided to make a best guess on what was needed and it worked out really well.)

The price was the game changer for me!

This sketchy igniter worked for a grand total of 3 MONTHS before conking out today. Looks like my experience is similar to other reviewers here too. I hate all this Chinese garbage we’re forced to put up with. Cheap, low quality trash igniter. Like another reviewer stated, probably not genuine.Their warranty is a scam, too! In order to qualify for their “Extended Warranty,” you have to register it AND have it installed by a “qualified installer.” Why would anyone need to hire an installer at added expense for such an easy job? Well obviously it’s indirect trick for Pentair to NOT BACK THEIR SHODDY PRODUCTS! It’s just an excuse not to have to offer any type of warranty or support to the consumer! STAY AWAY.

I replaced the igniter on my Pentair Minimax NT 250, that had an error code E05, and my pool heater works great again! The old igniter did not look bad at all, a little rusty, so I didn't initially think that it needed replacement. Instead I replaced the Thermistors & Sensors which didn't help. All and all I spent less than $150 which is what the heater repairman wanted to charge just to come out.

Purchased this to resolve my E05 error on my Pentair MiniMax heater. Product arrived fast and installed same day, no issues. My other igniter only lasted about a year. These igniters are VERY fragile. The packaging was excellent at protecting the product in my opinion. Fired up my heater and now have a hot spa. Price was best I found. Very happy with purchase.

It lasted 4 years and a month. With that record, it's probably good to have another on hand so you don't have a chilly pool for your next party. I just had to get a replacement yesterday locally, and the label in the sealed Pentair box was identical to that shipped by Amazon ("CoorsTek").

Item bracket did not fit Petair minimax heater. I had to use original bracket to make it work. Other that that igniter element works fine.

Once the old igniter is removed YL this one is easy to install. Once you have determined the problem installing and testing the this product was ver easy
