I love that they don't get hot

Hard to find standard lightbulbs these days.

I am happy these bulbs still exist because I use them as a basking heat source for my reptiles. They are harder to find locally now. LEDs won't work for that purpose. They do make reptile branded lights but after many different set ups, over the years I prefer to use these types of bulbs with a separate UVB light. As far as being long lasting, it is hard to say. They are run all day every day so they don't last forever, but they seem to last a decent amount of time. I have never tested to see if I get the full claimed number of hours. I should one day.

The bulbs last generally up to six months based on 8 hours per day, at seven days per week.The bulbs illuminate an outdoor lamp post. Considering the bulbs are exposed to the outdoor elements,the performance is stellar.
