If you have a Canon T5i don't waste your time
This item does NOT work for Canon T5i. I connected all the attachments and tried to record and nothing happened and the final footage was without sound altogether. I had to send it back for a refund. If you have a Canon T5i don't waste your time.

Adequate
You get what you pay for. It does the job. However had I been able to see, touch and feel the product prior to laying down the money I would have spent just a little more for little better quality.

Not worth it
Audio quality is very..... average, or even less than average. I ALWAYS FORGET TO TURN IT OFF, and the battery dies. Have a lot fo extra 90v batteries...

I almost forgot to remove the battery covering
This is easy to use and works very well. I did have a problem at first with getting it to power up, but then I realized that I forgot to remove the plastic from the battery. Once I did that, it worked great.

For Ballers on a Budget!
A Rhode is definitely better, but if you're just starting out and you're on a budget to "tool-up" for video, this isn't a bad little mic. The sound quality you can expect is better than a built-in mic in your camera and that's what really counts when you're just getting your feet wet with DSLR video. You'll be able to upgrade your gear gradually, so invest a little bit in the necessities: Decent tripod, lapel-mic for interviews, extra batteries and some kit lenses (always have a nifty 50 on hand). That's all you need to get started. Guerrilla-video is a totally acceptable art form. You can hone your technique with practice.
