These are perfect for what I needed. I like that the frames are wider than similar kits. I also love the double matt, but in my use, it’s not really noticeable and they do reduce the size of the photos you can use in them. Ideally, they’d hang close to eye level. These are above my mantle, which is kind of high to begin with, so I’ll have to choose my photos wisely so that people can see them without having to get up and walk over to them. I’m going to use black and white photos in this setting.The included template is fantastic. These frames don’t have typical hangers. They have plastic pieces that go in the corners. It means having to use two screws or nails to hang each frame. The template accurately marks where to put them. Take your time. It’s much easier to have a partner help position the template with you. I used painter’s tape and a level to get the template in the right position. The payoff of the unique hanging system is that the frames are super easy to hang, and they hang perfectly straight and will never get crooked.The wood itself is nothing special. I have the black ones. They could be plastic and no one would know the difference. If you’re looking for grain like a black ash look, these aren’t for you. They do use real glass, but it is prone to glare. I’m going to look into the possibility of an anti-glare coating, but I might be more picky than you.Now for the hard part and going narrowing down nine photos to use from hundreds of candidates.

I am basing the five stars above strictly on the quality of the frames. They are wonderful, sturdy frames that are insanely easy to put up. The templets that come with the frames are outstanding. They make it a breeze to put. The templets and the quality of the frames is exactly why I bought two sets (separately) of these frames.A word on Amazon. Usually Amazon is aces with their packing procedures but with this set of frames I had many problems. The first set I ordered came with some of the frames with broken glass. It was packed in a oversized box with only paper to protect it. The frame itself is in a box that has one of the frames on the outside of the box on display so you can actually see and feel the quality. A great idea if you are buying it in the stores but a pretty idiotic idea for shipping purposes. Amazon is great with returns so I will give them credit for their quick return and replacement policy. I returned the broken frames and received a new set the next day. Wonderful customer service. The frames I received were not broken and they hung up easily and look great. I liked them so much I ordered another set. It was packed the same exact way as the first one and came broken again. Again great return system and quick replacement. It just is quite annoying that someone at Amazon can't think to pack this set in a proper sized box and with some bubble wrap. At the very least don't pack it glass side down. The quality of frames is great hence the five stars. If I could give separate stars to Amazon itself I would have to give them two stars. My suggestion is if you can get them in a store then do so otherwise be prepared for a little bit of a hassle.

I received this set a few weeks ago and finally picked out and ordered all the pictures that I needed to fill the frames. I had to order most of the pictures in larger sizes since most of the frames have larger openings than 4x6. I received these frames in great condition! The box that they were delivered in was intact and not damaged in any way. All the frames were packed wonderfully inside the box. No cracks or chips or anything. Very impressed. The quality of the frames are pretty darn nice for the price. You can tell the frames are not real wood, but they are as close as you can get. The walnut color is beautiful. I hung all these frames on a wall in my bedroom. I staggered them around a saying that I had on the wall that said: " Family ~ A Happy family is but an earlier heaven." The matting in white/ivory is perfect because I have light brown walls and ivory colored trim and crown molding. It looks so nice on my walls. Not cheap. Tastefully done. Also, the hardware that are on the backs of all the frames was fantastic!!! I loved how you could just slip the frames onto the nails and you could level the frames so easily!!!!! I didn't use the templates that came with the frames because I just had to stagger my frames around a fancy saying on my wall, but the templates looked very easy to use! This was a great purchase for me and I had been hunting for a set like this for ages!!!!!!!!!!! I may have to purchase another set!!

These are a great buy. The frames are decent quality, basic shaped (no bevels) with very few flaws (a couple have a very small mark of "sheen" on the otherwise matte black color of the wood frame). They have double mats and above average "grips" for hanging on the nails/screws. These grips are jagged plastic triangles which wedge (very easily and securely) into the corners of the back of the frame. They allow you to choose the orientation of the frame VERY easily. And because the grips fit inside the back of the frame, the frames can be placed essentially flush with the wall (no gap created from the top of the frame sticking out further than the bottom because of the grip and nail).One of the best things about this set was the templates it came with. They are actual size images of the frames with markers for where to place the nails/screws. They are a very thick paper and have markers as guides for hanging the frames in many different arrangements (i.e. the main grouping shown in the picture as well as several other grouping options). I did not organize them according to the provided templates to create the arrangements in this kit, but only because I turned some of them horizontal. The templates still worked for me very well- I just cut out the paper templates out of the guides and taped them to my wall until I had them how I wanted them. Then I used the convenient markers for where to put the screws and it worked out perfectly.

Sorprende y o se entiende que el empaque traiga tornillos para colgar el juego de marcos que, por cierto. son ligeros, cuando bastaría sobradamente con clavos. Es fácil de instalar y, ciertamente, permite flexibilidad en la colocación de las imágenes. El acabado en aceptable, pero nada más. El precio, bien para lo que es.

El marco más grande ha sido completamente desaprovechado. Los demas están bien. De hecho, este kit es bastante util si quieres regalar una foto familiar enmarcada. Te facilita la existencia
