Wilton Monkey Cake Pan, Kids 3D Birthday Cake Pan

A little pricier than I wanted but was looking for this specific pan so bought it anyway. Exactly as described. Sturdy and made a beautiful cake.

I am a big fan of Wilton's character shaped pans. They really work well to help in making really impressive looking cakes. I have found that they cook very evenly without sticking as long as they are properly prepared. To prepare the pan, I apply butter or a non-stick cooking spray to the inside of the pan then add flour and shake it all over so that there is a light coating in all areas of the pan. I always make sure to dispose of any excess flour.I am really excited to add the Monkey to my Wilton cake pan collection. My twin niece and nephew are both big fans of Curious George. They are soon celebrating their second birthday and have requested a Curious George cake. We have a lot of people in our family that need to eat gluten free so it will be really nice to have an impressive cake to serve that meets our specific dietary needs.**Will update review with the finished product as soon as we have the twins' birthday party.

This is exactly what is described in the add. The pan is a little smaller than we would like, but it will work. We are having a big party for my daughters Birthday, and I doubt it will feed everyone, so we are going to make two cakes with it. That is the only thing holding me back from giving it 5 stars. It is a quality pan, and probably great for what it is. It shipped fast, and the seller is great just wish it was a little bigger.

My one year old granddaughter loves monkies so I thought this would be a great cake for her first birthday. It was a great hit and she loved it. The directions that came with the pan made it very easy to follow to get it decorated to look like the picture. My only mistake was I tried to use cake (cut to form) for the party hat and the frosting made it difficult to decorate. I would suggest using the cookie or a paper party hat cut in half. I used extra large cupcake tops for the balloons which worked out great since they gave the balloons that 3-D dimenson. All at the party were amazed at the cake.

Perfect pan for my grandson's first birthday. It is "Curious George" themed.

I bought this for my daughter's birthday because she wants a monkey cake, and the pan arrived fine, but I am less than pleased with the cost of it. It came with a price tag still on it for $6.50... And the seller just put another tag over part of it. If you are going to gouge people on the price you should at least have the forethought to REMOVE the previous price tag.

This cake pan produced a fine looking cake. You can either make your own batter from scratch or use a box mix. Both work just fine. NOTE: You must use a spray non-stick agent with flour in order to not have the cake stick to the pan. We tried crisco with flour and butter with flour to no avail. Went to Krogers and bought some non-stick spray with the flour in it and the cake just popped right out with no problem.

Bought for granddaughter's 2nd birthday ... Decorated with a pink flower over ear and a bracelet. Before pouring batter .... Be sure to grease pan... Rub pan and every crevice of the design thinly with Crisco. Then sprinkle flour on Crisco rubbed pan. Tap pan around until completely coated with flour (trash excess flour)... This releases cake from pan easily. After proper cake cooling time (10 minutes or a little longer) When flipping cake, cover the cake filled pan with the flat surface ... Then flip over and place on counter. Slowly attempt to remove pan from cake. If not coming out, be patience and let cool a minute or two longer... Cake will release without force, if greased properly. We feminized design with flower and bracelet for 2yr old granddaughter's birthday. Used dark M&Ms for eyes and mouth is a sliver from a Twizzler. La Wilton non si smentisce, il prodotto consente ottimi risultati, mantiene il rilievo, molto simpatica l'immagine di questa scimmietta. Ho usato la base impasto tipo ciambellone e l'ho decorata in un secondo tempo, in due colori come si vede dalla foto allegata. Consigliatissimo!

I love this cake pan , it's so cute . My nephew loves monkey's and I am so excited to make this for his 1st birthday later this year. I made a chocolate cake in the pan for a trail run just to see how it would turn out and the results were amazing,, no trouble at all to out-line and decorate,,I took several pictures of it while I was decorating it and sent them to friends and family , most people thought that I bought the cake , the quality of the pan was excellent !! Love it

wilton backformen sind immer wieder ihr geld wert, bin mittlerweile schon zum sammler geworden, die kuchen kommen au immer super an ! mir ist noch nie ein fertiger kuchen in der form geklebt, macht das backen richtig spaß !
