but to my surprise I am amazed that such a compact computer can deliver what it ...
I bought this mini computer with a little skepticism, but to my surprise I am amazed that such a compact computer can deliver what it promises. I needed an extra computer in my office and space is very limited, I placed it in between three monitors and no one in the office has realized that the little box was the new computer. My 9 year old son wanted Minecraft installed and it works better than my PC towers that are only 6 month old. I plan to upgrade in the near future and I plan to purchase one or two more of these HP mini's. The Model that I have is the 300-030.

Good System, Slow Hard Drive
This is a decent little computer. It is a bit more powerful than comparable systems that are not barebones kits. I got this machine to plug into my Television so that I could run Windows apps and games on the machine. The processor is fast and it runs well with 4GB of RAM. the only issue is that the Hard Drive slows the system down. If you get this system for everyday use I would recommend installing an SSD to get rid of the slow down.Another advantage of this system is that it didn't have a whole lot of bloatware on it and the stuff it did have was easy to remove.Overall this is a decent machine for anyone who wants a secondary system or who doesn't need a powerful home computer. It has a small footprint and easily works as an add on to any home media system.

Great for older people, easy to use, and can hook up easily to living room TV
I bought this for my Dad since I moved out of state so we could stay in contact through Skype. It was very easy for me to set up for him and it works great out of the box. We didn't have to buy him a monitor because we could simply hook it up to his living room TV. The included wireless keyboard and mouse let him cruise the internet, e-mail, and Skype right from his couch on his roll around TV tray. It works great and he is very happy with it!

What an awesome lil' guy!!
The initial set of updates took a while to sort through, but minimal bloatware removed fast. Upgrade to Windows 10 (almost 3 Gbs) glitched, so use the Windows Update tool at your own risk; however, the direct install via "microsoft media creation tool 64-bit" was a total success, just prepare to wait for a couple of hours while the computer restarts a bunch of times. In the end, 4 gig of RAM is enough for Windows 10 but I'm looking to double that soon to scale this baby up to be a fantastic media machine. By the way, I couldn't be happier with lossless audio as PCM out of iTunes via hdmi connection to the Denon AVR receiver. Perfect home for the 17K song library.

Move on - don't waste your time
First time I've every written a review -- but my experience with HP on this purchase has been horrific. Had to send this back twice for the same monitor / video issue. Wasted a lot of time with this machine. Need a mini computer, buy a Mac Mini; this is a piece of junk. Now working with HP to get my money back; sure hope that goes smoothly. Also have to deal with extra out of pocket expenses -- Microsoft 365 account; purchased extra RAM, and an external optical drive. HP needs to make me whole again.Stay tuned.

LIke it for specific applications - But the fastest CPU and largest memory option model available
To be clear this packaging results in some performance limitations as well as expansion issues but if you want to recover the real estate on your desk and your applications usage doesn't demand massive memory and a powerful CPU then this little PC is perfect. I own multiple PC's and wanted something for MS Office applications and web based browsing. With the ability to support dual monitors and multiple USB devices this is an amazing package and price point.I don't like most keyboards or mice shipped with any PC and this was no different, so I tossed them and instead installed a Logitech Wireless backlit keyboard (K800) and the dark optical mouse (M510) which are my preferred keyboard and mouse for every PC I won. This PC is capable of doing what I need and at the price point is a real pleaser. I expect that all the PC vendors will exploit similar form factors going forward with expanded memory and faster CPU options as well. When they do I'll upgrade. Until then everything is copasetic.
