eforCity 247766 6-Feet Male to Female Extender Extension High Speed HDMI Cable

I bought this to hook up my Google Chromecast. For some reason the device has issues if it is to close to a tv with an antennae. That's weird, but after some research I found out its a common problem with certain TV's. Got this to put a little distance between the two and problem solved. This is a quality item for a good price. Don't buy into the "more expensive is better" mentality when it comes to hdmi cords, they all do the same thing

I wanted to extend my WII-U HDMI cable. This extension fit the HDMI cable plug, but the WII-U device would not work with this extension cord. I contacted the seller with the details of the order number from their packaging, twice, and the seller claimed to not have any record. Do not buy anything from eForCity as they will play games. I spent only $6.95 on each cord (I bought two and neither worked), so it was not worth the aggravation and time of pursuing. Product was made in China too.

I needed a cable about 4 feet long, bought this one and the few extra feet of length made it fit even better.Would recommend buy a length a little bigger than needed. I would recommend this item to anyone!

So far, no problems. Seems to work great! I will continue using it and perhaps purchase one or two more.

Works well and the construction of the cable is good. I installed it in my car to bring the rear HDMI input of my head unit into the center console storage box. No complaints.

Works with Chromecast. MY OTA programming is no longer interfered with by Chromecast because I can get it away from the HDMI port, that's all I wanted.

Item came quickly but does not seem to be wired correctly as monitor does not detect that a device is connected until that device outputs a video signal. (Causes monitor to disable input whenever video signal stops. Then monitor has to be manually switched back. This does not happen when cable is by-passed)I have another, shorter, cable that does the same thing and was hoping that this one would not. The device that I wanted to use this on was replaced along with all of its cables, the original cable worked correctly. (This is on a Cyber PC - very small PC that connected directly to the back of a monitor / TV)The good news for this cable is since my AV receiver does not do any automatic input switching it will work correctly with it.Note: I will update my review if I figure out which pin is the problem.Edit: I just tested the connections on this cable and they have not connected pins 2, 5, 8, 11, or 17 (all the shielded pair grounds) The outer shield is connected however. My monitor enables the HDMI input setting when pin 17 is shorted to ground.

Not a high quality cable but net my needs well. I used it to extend my cable for a game system and it worked well for that.

It did not work, the picture and sound cut in and out, yet if i pluged the oroginal cord in it worked fine, so this 6 foot extension I bought to make things more convenient was a waist.

Red spots all over the display, and cuts out once in a while. Not surprising considering the price.
