Great Monitor for the Price
I purchased this to replace a 19 inch TN monitor that is about 10 YO. I am an amateur photographer and I wanted an IPS monitor to adjust the photos I take. Out of the box I calibrated it using a Datacolor Spyder 3 Elite and I can see some difference in colors and contrast in the Datacolor sample photos vs uncalibrated. There are no dead pixels, stand seems sturdy enough and the only con that I can see is the SRGB color gamut is not 100% aligned with the SRGB colorspace that is in the Datacolor reference. It is represented by a triangle, the green section coming off the blue with the green dot to the right and higher than the SRGB green dot; I guess that means my greens and blues will be a little off. Since I'm not a professional I can live with it.I didn't think that going from 19" to 23" would make a big difference but it does. Photoshop has much more space and other programs that I had squished things together look great now. I would imagine opening up a couple of programs and viewing side by side would be much nicer as well. I can't compare it to an expensive IPS monitor except my son's MAC and photos, writing and colors all look great like they do on a MAC. No color shift but I pretty much look at the monitor head on, I do see a difference between this and the TN monitor when it comes to off angle viewing so the IPS panel does work.I've seen mentioned that the monitor is too bright ... per the Datacolor calibrator I have the brightness set at 31% which I adjusted via the menu. The stand IMO is not that wobbly but it also not rock solid. I hooked it up via the supplied DVI cable and it turned on right away. I've always heard good things about Asus products, Hopefully that's all true and I'll be using this monitor for a long time.

Best Color accuracy in the price range and great overall performance.
This monitor is all around pretty great. I had a pretty tall order for selecting a monitor. I wanted good color accuracy for my photo and video editing as well as good response time for gaming and of course I also wanted great overall picture. I also was looking for a monitor that has an internal power supply rather than a wall wart or inline brick and one that had VESA mount capabilities. Oh and I wanted to get all of that for as close to $100 as possible. This monitor checked all those boxes and came in pretty close to my target price.Having made my selection after extensive research, I placed my order. The monitor came well packaged with no shipping damage. Set up was relatively simple, with the only step that could cause any issues being assembling the stand, which can be a bit clumsy. Aside from that, set up is very straight forward. The monitor comes packaged with a standard power cable as well as an HDMI cable, DVI cable and a VGA cable so no matter what computer you are plugging into, you will have everything you need right out of the box. Calibrating the display is simple and frustration free with the reasonably responsive menu.Image quality is great. Certainly the best image quality you can expect out of a 1080p IPS panel not explicitly designed for color sensitive work. Light bleed is very low and very well may be as good as it gets with an IPS panel. No dead pixels on the panel out of the box or after 3 and a half months of daily use. Sharpness is great considering the matte screen surface which reduces glare. Matte screen surfaces can cause sharpness degradation if the panel its self is not close enough to the screen surface. That is not a problem here.Overall I'm very happy with this monitor and with the excellent 3 year warranty, it will serve me well for years to come.

What can I say, it is a good Monitor for the money and it has IPS
It's a decent 1080p Monitor. It works when you turn it on. By default the color was off and tinted quite yellow but some playing around with the color settings menu was intuitive enough to figure out and fix. After playing with the settings, I don't think I could be more happy with the picture quality. Everything looks so crisp and sharp and the matte finish on the screen really prevents any kind of glare.I also like that is has the vesa wall mounting compatibility. The bezel is a gloss black finish and is a little wide for modern standards where glass to the edges is becoming more and more common. The only real negative to me is the stand, it is a bit flimsy and seems like it could break easily in a move or something of that nature and the monitor does jiggle a bit when typing hard on the keyboard right in front of it. This will be used in a dual monitor set up so the stand is not that important to me but felt it was worth mentioning for those who do not plan to use another mounting option. I would say this is a pretty good monitor for the money, and it is an ASUS which is a quality brand in electronics with an excellent warranty. I only took off the one star for the stand, the rest of it is wonderful.

Love them. Excellent price
Have two of these. Love them. Excellent price, excellent features and most importantly, excellent performance.Uses: Photography Editing, Gaming, website editing. The colors are excellent, as is the refresh time. Has ports for the majors (DVI, VGA, HDMI).Provided cords are regular quality.Monitor is nice and light, easily sits on my VIVO Dual Monitor Stand.Presently I have one in Landscape mode, and one in portrait mode, which works excellent - the extra real estate really helps reading websites or designing portrait graphics. The IPS is great for different viewing angles, and really doesn't need to be head on to look at, which keeps the colors true. The bezel is not too thick, which works great for dual monitor applications. Can't comment on the stands, as I've never used them, but they were pretty low and offered minimal adjustment.Buttons are a little mushy to use, not overly responsive and clicky, but now I'm just nit picking. Both monitors have no dead pixels and have been run for roughly 10-15 hours a day for the past 6 months. There's no hum, minimal heat generated and absolutely no flickering. If you're on a budget and are looking for a monitor that performs out of it's weight class, consider one of these.EDIT: now have three running full time as of march 2016. not even a flicker of an issue on a single one.

Buen monitor a buen precio
Lo único que no me gusto es que no trae bocinas. Se ve muy bien de brillo y calidad de imagen

Really great quality for the price
Really great quality for the price. I've been using it for a few months and I am very happy with it.I use it as a second (auxiliary) monitor, so color accuracy is not very important for me. However the screen quality is really good, so it should deliver relatively good color accuracy after calibration.I haven't tried this monitor for gaming, as my main use is for graphic design and play movies. The construction is good, pleasant and solid except by the base. The base is small and not that stable, but it does the job. It cannot be adjusted. For a comfortable use it need to be placed on a very high monitor raiser, or better replaced by a monitor arm desk (luckily it's prepared for it).The design is also quite good, except by (once again) the base. I would prefer a matte plastic (instead shiny one) but it's not a big deal. The screen is not reflective, which is very helpful when working with graphics. Blacks could be darker, but not complains for the price. Angle of view is quite good and uniformity of screen good es well. Not dead pixels.I am used to expensive Dell Ultrasharp monitors, so this little one is a pleasant surprise. It also run quit cold (compare with the dell "heathers").Very good deal!

Love it so far. But...
This is my first monitor on the larger side, and I was very impressed with the size. The screen doesn't reflect light well, which is good for where the light is situated. The on-screen menus are fairly easy to navigate. There were a few adjustments to be made on the colour/picture side, but nothing drastic. The one gripe I DO have is that the plastic bezel doesn't seem to be the most sturdy; around the screen can be pushed in and around inputs on the back push in when you try to plug something in.All in all, as long as your mindful, this is a very nice monitor for a decent price.

Great for the price
ASUS VS239H-P 23-Inch Ultra Wide Monitor, 1920 X 1080 Resolution Asus VS239H-P 23-Inch Ultra Wide MonitorI've had this monitor for a little over a week now. It meets all my expectations. I had issues with a different monitor that I had to return. I chose this one as my replacement. I was a bit worried about trying for an IPS panel since I do so much gaming. I figured that a monitor in this price range would not be able to get the IPS panel to handle gaming.I tested ghosting with testufo.com. This monitor did great.I had to calibrate the color and saturation settings out of the box. But it was not too difficult to find the right settings. I had way more issues with the other monitor I tried before this one. (The other monitor had a TN panel) The colors are great, gaming works very well. For the price, I could not expect anything more from this monitor.
