Nice budget laptop
A really fine laptop for the price by far. Sturdy design, nice screen and Windows 10 built in. I like how this laptop doesn't contain a bunch of pre-loaded software either. It has an ASUS utlility and that's it. Everything else is just Windows 10 (pre-loaded). A really nice laptop for a student or someone who just wants to do some browsing, word processing, ect. I wouldn't game on this. One thing I can suggest is to upgrade to 16gb of memory and get a solid state hard drive. It will more than double the speed for a little bit of extra money. Good luck getting any tech support. None to be found. The manual is also not available in English. Get what you pay for.

Not horrible,
Terrible touchpad. The left- and right-click buttons are integrated into the touchpad, so touching the button moves the cursor.Power cord is way too short. Should be at least double the current length.Computer has two, tiny lights on the left side (hidden from convenient view) that show it's turned on and plugged-in to the charger.Audio is weak but mostly adequate.I uninstalled the "free trial" of McAfee antivirus.Works fine for my typical use--browsing internet, saving photos, writing documents using a free download of "OpenOffice". "Fine" being "If you ignore all the Windows 10 problems and failures and spyware." Certainly faster and quieter than my crappy Toshiba.

$500 disposable laptop
I didn't realize til after I recd this laptop and opened it (so it's no longer returnable) that the battery is not replaceable. I do not recommend it for that reason alone. I would really appreciate knowing which computer brand(s), if any, offer a laptop with a removable/replaceable battery. Thank you.Follow-up: I turned off all but the essential programs/apps, set up all the power-saving options, and the system tells me that an 80% charge is good for 4 hours while I'm using wifi. That improves by an hour or so if I connect via ethernet cable. I bought this thing to use for working from home, but at this rate, I expect the nonreplaceable battery to be dead in year or so. Other negatives: ASUS does not provide their "battery health charging" app for this model, so if you're using the laptop on AC power, the battery will fully charge and remain there, shortening its life. Designed obsolescence. Also, I find the ASUS help site to be frustrating and nearly useless. I'm so, so disappointed in this purchase. What a waste of money.

Everything I wanted.
If you are looking for a reliable basic laptop with a large screen. This is the laptop for you. I use this for graphic design, word processing and the occasional simple game. It's light weight and the built in wi-fi makes it easy to take anywhere you want to go. I love the variety of display options which allow me to set the display to match what I am doing and the environment in which I am doing that job. It is everything I wanted without the things I do not use.

Great for school and light gaming
No touchscreen (which seems to bug everyone else but me) and its great for my classwork and prohects. I can even play games on it with relative ease. Very happy with it. Hope it lasts as long as my other Asus! (Which still runs just very slowly and is damaged so u need an external keyboard and mouse but it ran league of legends and fortnite and apex legends and a few games i downloaded from the microsoft store so woot)

nice machine but.....
Screen is washed out despite turning the gamma all the way down, processor is laggy. Good if you only browse the net or use office for writing. Not quite enough for what I need

Great laptop but bad battery
Its a nice laptop, fast and reliable, but the only bad thing is that , the battery runs out too quickly, it barely last 2 hrs.

Love it! Backlit keyboard is great!
Love this laptop. Boots up fast and is well made piece. I love the backlit keyboard!Got it on sale! The enter key was sticking when I first got it, but a few quick taps on the key fixed that. Great product.
