energetic terrier
My year-old small 9 pound terrier rescue pup is full of energy! The tunnel was originally purchased for those days that we were housebound to run off some of that energy, but she loved it so much that we signed up for agility classes. She plays with the tunnel whenever it is available. When I forget to compress the tunnel flat and put back into the handy carrier (which I love!) after a play session, I can find the pup curled up and asleep inside the tunnel with a favorite soft toy. A great purchase, well made, easy to store in its storage case with zipper closure and hours of energetic fun for dog and myself!

Great for backyard training
This is a great chute for the price. It's not to competition spec, but those cost way more, so I didn't expect it to be.The blue tunnel end is about 3-feet long and the red chute is about 6-feet long. The chute attached to the tunnel with velcro which holds it well enough for a dog to go through, yet pops off easily if the dog gets stuck inside (great for safety!).The tunnel end has 4 tie downs and comes with another rope for an extra tie-down. It also includes 6 metal stakes, which altogether help keep it in place. Without the stakes the material is much too light and will move as the dog goes through. The close chute part is too light weight and twists as the dog goes through. Get a couple of small sandbags and put them inside the chute on the end edges to help resolve that (I've seen them do this in competitions too!). Make sure you straighten out the chute after each pass of the dog!

BE CAREFUL; NOT PARTICULARLY SAFE FOR YOUR DOG
one star to get your attention; it really deserves 2 or 3. BE CAREFUL with the chute part of the tunnel. It is very long (much longer than AKC regulation) and very light weight material. A regulation chute is much much heavier material, which is important for safety as well as longevity Your dog can get badly tangled in any chute if it changes direction because it can hear you off to the side, gets lost, or changes its mind and tries to go back, but it will get much more badly tangled in one this long and this light; have scissors handy to cut it out if you have to. Seriously!. One bad experience tangeled in the chute and many dogs will never try it again. And trying to extricate a panicked dog from a chute isn't easy. Someone could easily get hurt. It is a cute little 3' open tunnel for starting tunnel work and play. If you want to use the closed part you can cut it off or fold it back or someone suggested weighting it at the "far end" with cement blocks.

Works well
My Aussie pup was afraid of the "Chute" in class, so I bought her this one. It immediately became her favorite! One caution: be sure to straighten the collapsed part before your dog has access to it. The wind will twist it & then the dog will get tangled in it. It would help if it had ties on the end to stabilize it (thus the 4 stars).

The tunnel by itself would be good for starting a young dog
The chute material is strong ripstop material. The chute is quite long and since the material is light, my dog tended to get tied up in it at first. I shortened the chute by pulling it onto the tunnel. Then, as the dog learned to handle it, I gradually lengthened it. The tunnel by itself would be good for starting a young dog. Just let it sit and dogs playing will run through it. The tunnel is strong and seems well-made.

Closed tunnel
This tunnel is so much fun. It depends on your dog whether or not you have fun! I have had to literally crawl through this to get one to come through! The other was easily coaxed through. Great tool to learn trust. I would not leave it out for them to play with. If your dog is to rough you may choose a larger size or a different training tool.

I purchased this because I was teaching my 11" Beagle to do Tunnels for Barn Hunting. She was afraid of them. I have not used the chute. I began with the tunnel folded and had her step through it. When she felt confident with that, I opened it out and gave her the same command, and she dashed through with no problem. IT does exactly what I need it to do at this stage of the game, especially since my space for such things is very limited. Now if I could just find a y-shaped tunnel....

fun in the yard
I like to interact and have fun with my dogs in the yard, and I was interested in agility equipment that was reasonably priced and good enough quality that I could leave it outside all summer. My dogs are fast, high energy, and put the tunnel through a lot of use and abuse, and it has held up very well. This tunnel works perfectly for my purpose.
