Bandu is a classic in tactical competence games. Four rules variations are included with the game, with the aim of all four being to build a tower. The sack contains different wooden pieces (e.g. egg, ring, pine tree, quad) as well as a small bag of jewels for the auction variation of the game. One might end up paying many jewels to avoid building an especially difficult element. Gambling and bluffing abilities are needed as well as building competence and strategic talent. A game with endless building possibilities, it's a challenge for steady hands and shaky suspense for clever tacticians.

SO FUN for wannabe engineers AND auctioneers!
I had a version of this as a kid in the 90's that was produced by Milton Bradley - we dug it out of the closet at my parents' Thanksgiving and had so much fun, I was thrilled to find this version on Amazon! Immediately bought one for my daughter (11) and one for my brother-in-law (40). VERY fun - a combination of dexterity, strategy, and scheming. Lots of variations make it easy to adapt to all ages, too. Played it with kids from 5-11 years old and everyone enjoyed it. Very well-crafted - solid, heavy, polished wood. Very pleased!

Smaller pieces than the other version I've played
This was a much different version than the Bandu that I was expecting- the pieces were different, and your building foundation was MUCH smaller than what I've had before.Still a good game, definitely more challenging, but Bandu is hard enough as it is!

Just like Bausack and fun for everyone!
Fantastic dexterity game! I highly recommend it. I'll admit that It's a little pricey for pieces of wood, but it's totally worth it. While a stacking game may not seem like it could incite ferocious competition, this one definitely does! I have definitely cursed and used God's name in vain if there's so much as a knee bump on the table. I used to be a missionary and this was always a hit no matter what country I was in or the age of the players.

Damaged Goods
The game box was damaged. For the price I paid for the game, it was very disappointing. I don't want to send it back right now because I planned on using it on Christmas Day! Again, very disappointed!!!!!

A Classic
This game is a classic. I first played it 20 or more years ago, and just bought it for my kids. There are a couple different ways to play, so even my 6-year-old can play. I highly recommend it.

Wooden blocks! Yum!
You can do games with dead trees AND they come with little plastic gems instead of plastic beans like the US version.

The prefect game
This game is awesome. Having a 13yo and 5yo it can be difficult to find family games they are both interested in. We love this as a family game and it's a perfect addition to our game nights with friends. There is really no one this game isn't perfect for.
