I'd only ever owned a cheap battery-operated single-use trimmer before so this purchase seemed a little extravagant on one hand and as if I was setting myself up for disappointment by choosing an inexpensive model at the same time. I'm glad to say I was wrong on both accounts.I'd recently (after last Movember :) ) decided to maintain a fairly complicated beard and moustache (think Robert Downey Jr in Iron Man) and found my regular shaver lacking, even with help from my cheapo trimmer and a razor. Enter the Philips Norelco Multigroom Plus.This is by far the most useful grooming tool I never thought I'd own! The ease of changing the heads for different purposes, the long lasting battery (even on turbo mode), and the variety of attachments has me completely sold on this product. I have used every attachment that it comes with:The metal guard trimmer helps make precise lines while the combs that come with it can do everything from trim hair to styling the bread and just the right length. The foil shaver helps clean up the stubble down to a smooth surface, and the precision trimmer helps with that area under your nose and in the cleanup of the chin area. Even the ear and nose trimmer do...well, exactly what you'd expect it to without having to own a device specifically for that.Each attachment lock onto the main body by twisting on (some are reversed from others to get the correct angle... watch for that: if it isn't fitting on try it at 180 degrees.I've used it since my Movember purchase every workday and weekends where I need to look groomed and I've charged it twice.I can always keep my appearance neat between haircuts with all of the attachments provided and I'd certainly have shaved the beard off long ago if I'd had to use more frustrating tools. A great purchase!

Having previously owned a Philips Norelco which the battery had died after 4 or 5 good years of service, it was time to purchase another. Like all of you I read the different reviews and finally decided with the same brand again. What sold me this time was the fact that it can be used with a battery or plug it into an AC outlet. It can be rinsed under the faucet without damage to the unit.It holds a charge for a long time between uses. Trimmed my beard, waited 3 weeks to use the Mini Foil Shaver and the battery has been just as powerful as when the beard was trimmed.The trim on the beard was even, didn't snag and was happy that it still had plenty of battery power left over. When shaving I use a hand razor, it produces a much closer shave on my coarse beard and using this Foil Shaver didn't alter my view, that's not to say it doesn't work it does and it's definitely worth using in a pinch. Used the nose and ear accessory worked as predicted and the Precision Trimmer, very sharp The Full Size Metal Guard Trimmer has to be used with the comb attachments, easy on and off of all attachments with just a twist of the head. Another nice feature is the battery indicator. It's great when traveling for a few days and don't want to carry another AC adapter with you.It has a nice fit and feel, just have to get used to the positioning of the on off button. I have to twist the unit to do either, probably not holding it correctly. My old trimmer had a stand this one doesn't but a travel bag instead, both would have been nice and worth the extra dollars.

This product exceeded my expectations. Easy to charge with versatile settings and multiple blade options, It is the perfect grooming kit for me. The light weight body and quiet whirring sound is ideal for someone who cuts their own hair. I keep by hair short (to the scalp, not shaved), so the blade I use is ideal for the close cropped look. The sharpness allows for a clean and even cut, even in the back where there are some slight ridges or contours. As a black man with tightly curled hair, it is nice to find a trimming tool that gives the close cropped look without experiencing nicks and the sometimes present pseudo foliculitis (razor bumps). I am very happy with this product and use it as often as I want. I actually look forward to keeping my hair growth to a minimum. This fits my active lifestyle of being in the gym, and with rigorous workouts, washing my head is just that, with very little hair maintenance. The price also can't be beat. The product is also easy to maintain. I would recommend this product and even purchase it again in the future if it is still available.

this is crazy product. I have bought this 2 years back and it still looks, feels and works like brand new. I charge once in two weeks and some times once in one month. The battery backup is amazing. I feel philips is one of the best hair products, I mean for men shaving etc. The philips brand is very durable and long lasting. Trust me, even though the items are little expensive than other cheap products in the market, these products last long and really long. Try buying a philips electronic item and you will know it yourself.I ask for one solution for this product, When I shave, the hair goes and settles inside the rotator.I mean the place where we try to hook the different trimmers. Please find a solution for this.This product is awesome and works great. I strongly recommend this product.
