Virtual Call Center User
Virtual Call Center UserI just received my headset yesterday, so its a bit early to know for sure, but so far so good. I work in a virtual call center, so I must have a good reliable headset with good quality sound.I have gone through a lot of headsets. I started out life buying them from Walmart, Target, Best Buy and other local retailers. That was a waste of time and money. They only carry the single ear headsets that give you monorail sound and leave the other ear open to outside noise.Thees headsets are cheap, but more often than not in life, you get what you pay for. An $8 headset gets you a headset worth $8!!I prefer a headset that covers both ears so I am not distracted by surrounding noise and I can concentrate on callers. I like a stereo sound so I can hear callers easily without straining, I can hear them clearly and they can hear me.So I then turned to trying several of the headsets here on Amazon. There are a lot to choose from. Many have really good reviews, but it depends so much on how the headset is used.I have not found many reviews written by people like me that work in a virtual call center. That is why I put Virtual Call Center users right at the top of my review, and also in the title, in the hopes it would make it easier for others to find and help others.I have gone through the following headsetsTurtle Beach Ear Force X12Etekcity® Professional Stereo Headphone HeadsetNew Creative Labs Fatal1ty Gaming Headset HS800and several othersSo far, this one is the best. Its more expensive, but like I mentioned before, you get what you pay for.The cons - This headset is big, heavy, and not as comfortable as some I have tried. The pros - Its big and heavy, so I am hoping that this means it is constructed better and will last a while. The ear pieces swivel nicely. The headset part seems to adjust nicelyThe mic boom is semi-rigid but flexible. it is like one of those flashlights that you can bend to point any way that you want or need it. Of all the headsets I have tried so far, this is my favorite mic boom designThe mic book extends right up to the mouth and is very easy to adjustThe most important feature to me is sound. I can hear callers very well. The sound that comes in is very clear and sounds good through both ears.I tested calling a few people and all said that my voice came through very well. No echo or sounding like I am in a bathroom like the Etekcity headset. The cord is very longThe volume adjustment is nice and I can turn it up loud enough to I can hear others and they can hear meSo far, this is the best headset I have had. After I have had this for a month or so, I will come back and update my review to let all know if it is still going well.

Best Headphones ever
I've been through several sets of heaphones in my time as a computer gamer and I am wondering now, why I even bothered with all the other ones I had. I had the idea, I suppose, that Turtle Beach and anything that was more expensive than $40 bucks was really a "you are paying for that brand name and not quality" situation. Glad to say that TB has proved me wrong.*These headphones are amazingly comfortable. Even for a lady with a small head size.*I can still hear outside of them. Good for yelling people behind you that want your attn.*The quick dissconnect feature is the best thing in YEARS. Being able to liberate myself without putting the headphones down or taking them off for a quick trip to the dryer to fold laundry (or whatever hypothetical small errand you want to insert here) is genius.*The fact that all the replacement parts and extras I can buy straight from the manufacturs website is awesome. They sell the X-box link up cable for less than 3 bucks, and the bottom connection piece that goes into your computer is less than 10 bucks, lastly they also sell replacement ear cushions.*The quality in them is awesome. I noticed I was hearing things a lot better than I usually do in game sound. These are not 5.1 surround heaphones but do have the option to plug in an adapter that makes them so (not nessisary in my opion)*My legionmates in my game/Ventrillo server said they could hear me clearly and said I sounded better than I ever had before. The microphone is fully adjustable, has great sound broacasting and is so flexable its never in my way.I'm sure I can continue to praise these things (and I've only had them 2 days) but the best thing you can do for yourself is to get yourself a pair at this reasonable price and experience the awesome that is the Z2 headset. ^^

It's a hit or miss kind of deal, if it's a hit it's a flawless headset, if it's a miss it's pretty janky
I bought these about a month ago ago and it was epic sound, comfortable on ears, and as long as I kept sound in the head phones then all other sound was kept out pretty much (which I am doing now because one of my roommates is watching Baggage with Jerry Springer... don't get me started...) and the volume control on the cord was very convenient. No static sound whatsoever. Long but not too long cord. Nothing but good things to say about this thing. So what's the problem? The left speaker broke off and I am telling you now I was very gentle with the head set, so I chalk it up to either low quality materials or just a fluke headset I got. So since I didn't think about warranty or anything, I just ordered another one from this site. It got in the mail yesterday afternoon. I threw my old pair away after I opened the new set (which I taped up and am using now) only to find that the left speaker doesn't work at all. So I'm quite irate at this point. I go through tech support, which is web and emailed based only (really turtlebeach... seriously...), and I come to the conclusion that I just had a faulty head set.So I'm still within the time line to return to amazon for a refund, I sign an agreement that I will send it back within 30 days in exchange for instant gift card credit to be used on the site. I am giving this specific model one more time and if I get a faulty headset then I am moving onto a new product, still possibly turtlebeach just one of the more expensive models, but maybe another company all together as this does seem to be a recurring problem.

Head sets that I am pleased to have bought - So far!!
When it comes to headsets, I am a sceptic and before I buy any, I will trawl the internet for reviews, as well as read all the amazon reviews!! In fact I took three hours reading reviews on various websites, before I bought these headsets! What initially impressed and enticed me to buy these, were the good build quality, excellent sound quality and comfortability, along with a reasonable price. I have a flight simulator and so comfort is especially important on long flights over 2 hours!!Indeed, these head sets, so far, live up to their claims. I've now had the sets about a month and they are proving as durable as I would have expected - bear in mind that any headset needs to be treated with some care and respect!! The sound quality is particularly good, picking up sounds I hadn't been able to hear on my previous Saitek GH20's, which, incidentally, broke! As far as comfort goes, they are about as comfortable as you are going to get for the price... They are indeed more comfortable than the Saitek headset and I have had no headaches from them, nor do they hurt my ears, as the cups go right over the ears. I have large ears, along with earrings, which used to catch and get squashed when using the Saitek ones!!Setting up is easy!! Just plug them in and away you go... Yes you will need to configure your Sound in the Control Panel in Windows, or by right clicking on the speaker icon in the bottom right of Desktop, but that was easy!!For all those who use Track IR in their gaming (I have Track IR 4) the Track Clip Pro fits well to the head band, after you have resized the headset. That said, if you have a tiny head, then with the Track Clip Pro attached, the headset may be a bit lose. The microphone is excellent and I have had good reports from anyone I've spoken to on TeamSpeak or Skype, who say they can hear me with clarity. What is also great, is that there is little or no feedback from the mic into your ears. The microphone is on a fully flexible, rubberised arm/boom, which is, indeed, very flexible and very adaptable... If you want to take a drink, just push the arm away from your mouth, then push it back again after. The arm also rotates from a join in the ear piece. The head band is padded and is comfortable to wear. The ear cups are padded and very comfortable. The wire is attached in two places. Firstly, the wire comes from the ear piece and attaches via a PS2 socket, about 12 (30cms) from your ear. This is great, as you can simply unplug it to get up and walk about, without taking the headsets off. It then attaches into the coloured phono sockets on your computer. The wire is long enough to stretch to the back of the computer, although I have sockets at the front of my PC. 2 inches (5cms) below the PS2 socket, are the controls, which contain a volume wheel and a mic on/off switch. There is also a tie clip on the back to attach the control to your clothing. For the price, these are an excellent buy and so far, they are proving themselves to be good. I also looked at proper aviation headsets, but at a price range of between £200 - £800, I gave them a miss!! I also looked at more expensive ordinary sets, but really couldn't see the point/justification in paying over the odds and I'm glad I didn't!!![]

Good for a while but....
I agree with other reviewers that these headphones are extremely comfortable and have a good range of sounds. I'm sure that there are much better ones out there but for the price they give a very satisfactory performance. My gripe, like that of another reviwer, is the quality - the connection between the headband and the earpiece support has snapped and at the moment is being held together by sticky tape, although not very satisfactolrily as they now just won't sit right on the ears. I understand that this is a weak point in other headphones - my stepdaughter has a different pair of turtle beach ones and they broke in the same place. So we're 'upgrading' to a Sony pair that are much more solid. A pity.

A damn good headset, until it breaks.
I've had it for three months and it hasn't broken yet, therefore it's the best headset I've ever bought. It used to give me lots of headaches in different places - on the top of my head, around my ears and in my ears, i still get them rarely.Well i've had two of these headsets and they collectively lasted me 18 months before breaking. The first one lasted me 11 months and the second one lasted 7. They both snapped in the same place.

Support Appalling
Owned a set of these for 11 months then they stopped working (lead became defective) contacted Lygo World as directed in the packaging and they duly took the defective ones after I paid the postage to send them to Darlington.Unfortunately they then sent back a much lower standard replacement and then refused to talk about it. When I made it clear I was not going to accept their substandard replacement they offered an even more basic set or I could go back to the retailer ! Of course that is going to be hard without the defective item anymore......So the simple answer is do not buy from Turtle Beach and expect good service, which is a shame because the headset was actually very nice when it worked...Amazon offered to "investigate" but I hold out little hope guess the simple answer is keep the receipt ignore the advice to contact Turtle beach and go straight to the retailer on Amazon you buy from and pursue them as the manufacturer is not going to do anything for you despite the "warranty"

Good for a while.
I take back what I said about these, though they may have very good audio quality and a good microphone, they seem to have a lot of faults in the long term. I've read many people's complaints stating how they fell apart or the wires would get faulty and ruin the sound, for me this too happened and I'm very displeased with my purchase. I have decided to go with a Company called Sennheiser, they make great audio products, and their headsets seem to be very well made all with a 2 year Warranty, so you can't go wrong.
