interactive r2d2.
the r2d2 unit itself has a fun name.he has over 40 commands to respoond to.he plays princess leia's message to obi wan kenobi.he has a remember mode and reacts to famous star wars characters and surprisingly responds to secret characters and characters from the clone wars. the two only known clone wars characters are:cad baneahsoka tano.he rsponds to "general grevious" aswell.plays games.he has a couple of easter eggs and dances to the cantina song.guards your roomhe has a mind of his own and is not afraid to say no to something.fun to chat with and is a hysterically funny droid.eventhough he is a feisty and moody droid (no offence r2) he is willing to be your freind and accompany you on your jedi missions.he is just over 15 inches tall and i was expecting shorter like the past interactive toys from hasbro(tm) anyway, we love him and he becomes a member of the family. the only bad part is he's pricey. around 250 pounds.

Very fun, but very frustrating when giving instructions :D
Had some good times with R2-D2 - however he really doesn't listen to instructions most of the time. Im not sure if he's being a rebel or if his microphone is faulty. Still very fun! My favourite thing is when he dances and plays music.

The second one arrived and it's only slightly better. It's sensors really depend on the lighting
The first one I purchased got sent back as it didn't recognise any commands no matter how clearly or politely I spoke to it. The second one arrived and it's only slightly better. It's sensors really depend on the lighting , noise and temperature in the room you are using it. But once you do get R2 to understand a command and he does exactly as he's told , it makes you feel like a true Jedi lol. The build quality is decent and as a desk top ornament the cool factor is off the scale. If you can put up with his true to movie, stubborn personality you will get hours of fun but be warned, once he's had enough of you talking to him he'll give you a shake of his dome to let you know.

Thoroughly recommend this R2-D2 Droid
Thoroughly recommend this R2-D2 Droid. We eventually got him to follow all commands. Patience is the key. Speak slowly and clearly and wait for R2 to acknowledge. Advise not to give commands in a confined space or with a noisy background. Overall absolutely delighted with R2-D2.

nice looking toy, but it doesn't work at all
as far I have found out the voice abbeying of R2D2 is poor! the only thing that worked was getting the beam on, not off, if this is it looks like the unit is deaf? I tried al pitches and voices, even internet voices: the robot does not react or does anything promised, so this toy really sucks, especially for the big sum of money it costs. there should at least be a backup remote control if speech recognition fails. none.So HASBRO this is a RIPOFF! I demand a working version

Toy for a big boy.
For anyone struggling with voice commands - try it with an Irish accent! It really works!Love my R2.

Waste of money
Waste of money. Doesn't do anything as It can't understand your commands. Unless your lucky it might pick up one command before u give up and put it away. Money literally down the drain
