Dechra MalAcetic Ultra Shampoo for Dogs, Cats & Horses (8oz)

Love that it doesn't have a medical smell like a lot of hydro/keto shampoos do. This was recommended by my vet for my dogs allergies. Since using this regularly, he is no longer losing hair and the redness/itchiness is under control. Also doesn't cause flaky dry skin which is great because he needs weekly and sometimes twice weekly baths to keep his allergies under control. Definitely would recommend if your dog has skin allergies!

Our Toy Fox Terriers have very sensitive skin and especially in the warmer months have itching issues. Two years ago our vet recommended MalAcetic Ultra shampoo and spray. We now have zero skin issues. No more tail nibbling or nervous scratching. Once a month they go in the sink & get a double lathering. Our dog suffers from severe seasonal allergies and our vet recommended it before giving him antibiotics. Even though my dog felt a lot of relief, we still needed to put him the antibiotics. Maybe if we hadn't waited so long it would have relieved him at the start. We keep bathing him with the shampoo so hopefully it will prevent it altogether in the future.

My dog has significant allergies, and this shampoo helps more than anything else I've tried. My only complaint is that it doesn't smell very good. Still, it really does reduce the amount of itching. I would recommend.

We purchased MalAcetic Ultra Shampoo on the advice of a fellow dog owner. For over two years we have tried everything to prevent our dog from chewing on her paws and her stomach: grain-free diet, cortisone shots, etc. We thought perhaps she is just neurotic or has OCD. However, after two baths with this shampoo, her chewing has finally been reduced to a minimum. We will continue to give her weekly baths in hopes of reducing her discomfort even more. I gave it four stars because the itching has not disappeared entirely.

I've been using this product for over six years, during covid-19 it was difficult to get into a veterinarian's office to purchase so I purchased it for the first time through here. I have only used this twice since it was purchased in March both times my dog has now broken into a rash and is uncontrollably itching. The first time I wasn't sure if it was the shampoo or something else, but after washing her the second time I am positive it is this shampoo. I have never had this issue with her over the last 6 years of using this product but this one is seemingly very defective.and since it has not been over the 30 days I am going to be stuck with this product I paid quite a bit of money for and will no longer be able to use.

I like this product.what I do not like is the fact that this company acquires a shipping label within 24 hours after order is placed,sounds great except for one thing,by doing this it keeps buyer from cancelling order because it is taking you long to actually receive product.

Much cheaper than another vet visit, and it helps to control my dogs skin allergies. Very good product and high quality. I'm so glad I could find it cheaper elsewhere as the constant vet visit was costing an arm and a leg. Highly recommend getting this but do check with your vet before use.
