Wondergel Doublegel Gel PLUS Seat Cushion - 1.5"

When I first tried the cushion on my dining room chair I was rather disappointed because at first it doesn't really feel that comfortable, but now that I'm using it on a daily basis, the pain in my hip has been going away more everyday. I purchased it for a very uncomfortable office chair that was causing me severe pain in my hip and down my leg. By the end of the day I was limping and in a lot of pain when I left work. The very first day I used it the pain stopped. I was amazed because when I sit on it I can feel the ridges in the cushion, and even though they don't hurt, it wasn't the cushiony comfort that I was expecting. I used it on two 5 hour car rides and it works great except for when I'm driving. I agree with the others that said it could be bigger. I'm not a large or overweight person but when I sit all the way back in my chair the cushion ends behind my thigh and since it's 2.5" thick it feels strange on my legs. It doesn't hurt but would be much more confortable if it came in a larger size and extended to the end of my seat. This is also the same problem I had when using it while driving. As a passenger I was comfortable but then I would bend my knees so my thigh is above the cushion and I wouldn't feel the abrupt ending of the cushion and the steep drop. I would give it 5 stars if the size was bigger. I thought it was rather expensive too but it's worth the price to have the pain relief. I haven't tried any other cushions to compare this one with.

This is a hard choice to decide between one or three stars at best, so I chose the middle-2 stars. The cushion arrived as described no problem there, very good thick gel cushion that gives a little when you sit your tush. I bought this cushion because I'm a big guy and had just endured an operation and was very sensitive in that area. The cushion is hard and even a little harder on the other side, as well as very cold on either side, even after 10 minutes of sittin on it. Although the cushion is covered with an outer cloth nylon cover, the coldness still penetrates. I tried to sit on this cushion using a small blanket and even a pillow on top but was still too unconfortable for my purpose. The manufacturer of this cushion needs to improve this gel cushion with some 1" SOFT LATEX front and back and then the zippered nylon cloth cover. A month has passed and I have purchased a small 12" rubber inner tube and semi inflated and use it on top of the the thick doublegel cushion and a small blanket on top for warmth. This combination seems to work for me the best and I can sit for an extended period now. Perhaps try the single gel cushion over this double gel, along with small inner tube and blanket? THANK YOU

I was skeptical about the necessity and price of the Wondergel Double seat cushion but long distance drives were painful after just 2 hours. After reading a number of reviews, I both decided to purchase and provide my feedback. My first impression was surprise about how heavy the cushion was. Then I had to lower the driver's seat to compensate for the 2" in height of the cushion. If you do not have several inches of "extra" head clearance, this will be an issue. The cushion is large enough to provide support for a variety of butt widths, but if yours is large you might want to check the measurements.The thick, heavy gel cushion felt like overkill during short distance drives, but recently I spent 8 hours driving...and no leg cramps, aches or lower back pain. I now use it in my office chair and, after adjustment, it provides good support and cushioning. Verdict: Worth the money, if it fits your needs.

I have owned Gel Cushions in the past that were half the cost & held up better than just 2 months. Yes, I read most all of the other reviews and their complaints revolved around the actual physical size not being what is advertised. That is a FACT folks. These products don’t even have the BLUE texture as shown in the photos. If they did, it would no doubt be one of the better products that I’ve owned previously. What galls me the most (besides being lied to and ripped off—overcharged—for a lower grade product) is that after just 2 months the pad shrinks and now measures 10” x 18” and I turn it over twice a day. My #1 question for the seller is where the “DOUBLEGEL” vanished too? Or maybe I should ask the question in a little different light—I WONDER where the GEL was and why do you use a photograph of an outstanding product and substitute it with a severely inferior quality product. I rather imagine your sales will drop off significantly when people read this and take my advice. I’m definitely NOT some kook who writes about products in a negative way. I simply tell things that should be disclosed and let others decide for themselves. I have good things to say about products that warrant the positive...this WONDER definitely does not...!

I am in a wheelchair and sit for ten or more hours per day. I've gone through many seat cushions from cheap ones to very expensive. This seat cushion is about average in comfort. The biggest problem I have with seat cushions is that they really need different designs for males and females. Instead, all seat cushions I've tried are basically the same. After three hours, all seat cushions tend to cause pain in the genitals. This cushion is a bit too firm for me, and after four hours I am in terrific pain.

Hi, I use this gel seat cushion at work while I pouch out stuff on the computer. All day sitting and found this product does the trick. A little harder that expected however, but with that kind of construction it should last a long time, not like some of the other products that are to soft and break down. Try it, you'll like it, only if the price was a little lower, it would be worth 5 starts.

I recently broke three vertebrae and I need something for my chair at work since I sit most of the day. This is a very soft cushion and maybe good for some conditions, but definitely not major ones like mine. I have no doubt this will be on my driver's seat during a long road trip, but for my road to recovery its going to be taking a back seat. I got the Drive 3" Gel cushion made for medical seating, and it is amazing compared to Wondergel (again for my purposes and my condition).

I bought this with the hope of getting some pain relief from my bruised tailbone. Sadly it hadn't helped with that. Seems like it would be a comfortable cushion for average Joe who doesnt have tailbone pain.

Excellent pad with a good quality zipper contoured cover. Cheap Skate delight.
