WE HAVE TREADMILL, ELLIPTICAL, BUT LOVE THIS THE BEST
After spending thousands of dollars on Elliptical and treadmill I came across the rebounder while doing a search for cellulite reduction. I have four weeks to tone up before a trip to the Bahamas. We set this up right in the middle of our family room and my husband and I are doing four 10 minute sessions throughout the day. This is virtually painless and takes very little effort to get on for 10 minutes. I will slowly increase to 15 minute sessons and in the book that came with it it says to slowly work your way into it because if you over-do it your toxins will be released too quickly. Something about jumping up and down that actually detoxifies the cells. Even though we have only had it a week, both of us can notice a big difference in the tone of our bodies already! If you are a person that does not like to exercise then this little inexpensive (compared to all the other stuff) is a Godsend. It's FUN and IT WORKS LIKE NOTHING ELSE!!!!It is QUALITY no doubt. We got the folding one so we could take it with us to our cabin. It comes with a nice carrier that has a strap. It is quite heavy! It isn't that big of a deal to set it up, especially with two people. It also came with a book that is quite motivating, and a dvd that gets into the scientific effect that rebounding has on the cells. Very informative and motivating! There is a story in the book about an elderly lady with cataracts that started using the rebounder and her cataracts went away. She had also suffered with an inner ear "imbalance" condition that was cured as well.If you do some research on what rebounding does to the cells in your body you will be convinced that this very well could be the ticket to the FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH! I am excited to see how I will feel in a couple of months since I am seeing results this quickly. Keeping your "bum" tight and pushing off with your toes 100 times will tighten your whole back side. Great for shaping up those calves to. Ladies if you want sexy legs the fun way, get yourself one of these, put on some rockin' music and go to town! I would recommend this rebounder to ANYONE and especially for those of you who want to nail that ugly cellulite and lose weight! This was shipped the day I ordered it and it came in about five days. BRAVO!!UPDATE:I'm writing this update to hopefully keep some of you people that buy this from making the same mistake I did. I hadn't used this for quite some time, and I got on it and jumped for 45 minutes. I'm 52 and not in the best of shape, but I should think this would apply to anyone regardless of what shape you're in. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT SAY BUILD YOUR TIME UP GRADUALLY!!! The contractions on my spine from jumping up and down for too long too fast have left me with a very sore burning spine. GRADUAL is the key here...especially if you're out of shape. It didn't start getting REAL sore until the third day. Now I have to wait for it to heal before getting on the Needak again. Don't do what I did. It's a fantastic piece of equipment but just be careful!

EXCELLENT REBOUNDER, BUT ITEMS ARE MISSING
This rebounder is excellent quality and deserves 5 stars, even though items were missing. In two different paragraphs, Amazon states that you will receive a book, an Immune System DVD, and Carol's Health Bounce DVD. In addition, the picture clearly shows a cover around the springs. The cover for the springs and Carol's DVD were missing and were not shipped separately.Since the reviewer in April 2012 had a problem with missing items, I called Amazon about it before I ordered; however, they couldn't assure me that I would receive all of those items. I considered ordering it from Needak directly, but their return policy wasn't clear. There was a chance that they would charge a re-stocking fee. In addition, I would probably have to pay return shipping and lose the original shipping cost although I don't know that for sure. This is according to many experiences with ordering online, etc. So, I decided to go with Amazon fulfillment. I'm sure that it wasn't Needak's fault that items were missing, but rather that of Amazon or the seller. Since there are many sellers and one description, I tend to think it was Amazon's; however, Amazon did make it right by giving a partial refund. I could have returned the whole order, but wanted to keep the rebounder. Amazon did e-mail their warehouse while I waited on the phone to make them aware of the problem. It's possible that it's been corrected, but I wouldn't count on it. I'm going to order those missing items from Needak. Now that you know what you probably will receive, on to the rebounder itself. I used a family member's rebounder in the past (about mid 1980's and beyond). I wish that I had never stopped because it is fun, good exercise, convenient and can be done in the privacy and comfort of home. I have used them in the backyard and inside. I like both, although outside is probably my favorite as long as the weather is good. They call this a "soft bounce", so I was concerned that it would be too soft, but it is just right. The user weight limit is 300 pounds. I found this on Needak's website. They have another one that supports up to 600 pounds. This soft bounce is virtually quiet. There is a little noise from the springs, but it's not bothersome. I watched an Alfred Hitchcock show during a rebound session and could hear it perfectly well. Noises do often bother me, and this doesn't. So, I believe it will be fine for most people. The set up it very fast and easy. The 6 legs go over posts and make a firm, solid foundation for rebounding. There is a very secure feeling when using this--that it really is supporting you. Right now, I do mostly jumping, some jogging, jumping jacks and side to side kicks. If I get tired, I do very light jogging, barely lifting my feet off of the rebounder or bounce without lifting my feet off of the rebounder at all. I've heard that some people who have great limitations will simply sit on the rebounder and bounce on it. As I get in better shape, I plan on doing more exercises such as higher kicks as I used to do. After I get the DVD that was missing, I can do the various exercises along with them. If there is anything else that needs to be added, I will do an update.

On the Rebound(er)
I had never been on any kind of trampoline before, and I have no cheaper version to compare this one to. I read lots of reviews and narrowed it down to a few top choices and then found the one with the best price. The first thing that impressed me was how easy it was to set up. Not even a screwdriver involved. Just pop the legs into place and start bouncing. I bought it to use with my Wii "Walk It Out" game and it does make the experience more fun and MUCH easier on my knees and feet. It also increases the caloric burn. I then tried it with Wii "Gold's Cardio" (boxing) and darned if that game didn't get more fun! It is great with the Wii "Active" workouts as well--and for any Wii game that involves running in place. I use a Polar HRM to measure my heart rate and calorie expenditure. The trampoline definitely intensifies my Wii experience, keeps me in the training heart zone, and takes me from playing a game to really working out.As for the experience on the trampline... it feels VERY sturdy and the bounce is very gentle but flexible. It doesn't feel hard or too firm with no give. It feels almost like I am stretching up and down, yet I know the pad is not stretching. I think it is just the gentleness of the springs. It is quiet and very smooth. And, yes, it is fun to jog or bounce on it with no Wii games at all. Just get on and go while watching TV and the time flies by.Like I said, I can't compare this to any others to know if it is the best or worth the extra cost over the cheaper models, but reading the reviews convinced me that it is. I am very satisfied with the purchase.
