The battery fits and holds a charge for several hours, costing about 1/3 the price of the Dell battery. I had to load an update for BIOS, and the computer warns me every time I boot up that it's not the recommended battery, but I'll take that and the $80 I saved any day. The reviews on this battery were accurate. I shied away from a few other after market batteries because they had bad reviews and bought this one because of the consistently good reviews, even though it cost a few dollars more than the rivals.

The LB1 battery would not recognize the Dell computer. At startup an error message appears indicating the battery is not compatible and may not charge. Pushing F1 would allow you to continue. Suggestions to upload new drivers were done but still received the same message. After some communication a new battery sent out by supplier problem still exists. I have spent way to much communication time on this. The battery charges okay so I am living with it and pressing F1 each time I turn on the computer.

I have used the battery for two weeks. It fits my Dell XPS 17 laptop but shows a warning message during the power on self test. The message is: "Warning: The battery is not recommended for this system, the system will be unable to charge this battery. Strike the F1 key to continue."However, the battery does actually charge and has worked ok. Deducting two stars for the warning message on boot up.

Right of the box this LB1 battery came with some charge and the installation was rather easy. I charged it over night and it got a full charge. I then proceeded to tested the next day and it only held up for 3hrs on a full charge. I'm not happy about this 3hrs use and for that matter, I could just have my Dell factory battery plugged in the wall outlet.

Its a great replacement and the price is right. If I had ordered a replacement from Dell it would have been over 100.00 dollars. Although its not made by Dell, I hope it works as well or better than the original. It fits perfectly and has enough power that we need not have to charge it after a few hours.

My Dell battery conked out after less than two years. I have only had this battery for a little over a month, but it is giving me about three hours of use before recharging is needed. I followed the manufacturer's instructions about letting it deplete itself completely before recharging, for several cycles. Let's hope this helps.

I was nervous when I first bought this replacement battery, as I have heard that many are knockoffs that don't work very well. However, over the past ~month that I have incorporated this battery into my laptop, there have been no issues, and the battery works very similarly to the one that came with my new laptop. Battery life is good, and at this price is very much worth the buy compared to the much more expensive one sold on the Dell website.

Battery has functioned as intended so far. I can get about 2-3 hours of usage before having to plug in again. Good alternate to paying 3 times the cost for a Dell battery
