exactly what I expected.
Let me start with this. Hearing is relative. Everybodys level of hearing is different. Exposure to loud sounds over a period of time changes your hearing. A dj needs nuance, needs alot of volume. The average person not so much. I don't understand the mind set of someone willing to pay several hundred dollars for plastic headphones. All your doing is buying the name and proving you're a sucker. These are actually the best headphones I've ever had. While they're not "super high quality" I don't need that. I have a bunch of piercings in my ears so I usually have a problem with over the ear. Not with these, they fit over the piercings no problem. The sound is good for both music and shows. To me it sounds the way it should. Pick a song that you know what it should sound like when you're trying out new headphones, for me it was marvin gaye inner city blues, these headphone made it sound right. I tried the in ear headphones that came with my brothers iphone, maybe i got a bad pair but these things were crap on a level ive never seen. The instruments sounded warped and the vocals sounded like they were a block away...I haven't had a problem with them falling off my head, only when I look straight up do they go to fall off. The cord is thicker then other headphones I've had. The plastic creeking others have mentioned, is not that bad. I had a pair of jvc that were ungodly. Im sure if i looked into it there would be a way to eliminate that entirely. All in all for eleven dollars I got a good pair of headphones that make my music sound good and my shows sound right.

Poor Sound Quality
I really wanted to like these headphones, but even at this price they are not a bargain. Typical lightweight headphones sound so much better than these. It sounds like you are listening in a box. I needed a volume control on the cord, which works fine, but sound quality is just plain awful. Beyond that, the band is kind of tight and gets uncomfortable. I am not some super-picky audiophile. I just wanted cheap headphones with a volume control that sounded like the lightweight pairs I've had in the past. These are a big disappointment. I'm going to cut off the volume control and attach it to an old pair similar to Panasonic Lightweight RP-HT21, which everybody likes and I already own. Looks like for decent sound under $10, that's the only way to go.

Excellent fidelity; lives up to "Super Bass" claim
I purchased these headphones as a replacement for an identical Naxa headphone. I am very pleased with the Naxa phones; they sound great and easily live up to the manufacturer's claim of "Super Bass". I use them with a 200-watt (50 watts per channel) bookshelf stereo system and, again, the sound is excellent. The only problem I had with the first set of these headphones was that the cord separated from the plug (and one connection failed inside one driver) after about a year or so. I would definitely recommend these phones on the basis of their high fidelity sound, but as I mentioned, be careful with the cord where it enters the plug, as it could separate from the latter if it is sharply bent. I believe the problem lies in the type of wire used in the cord, which looks to me like very cheap wire that isn't meant to last any length of time. I would recommend taping the cord right at the point where it enters the plug, so as to relieve the strain at that point.

Naxa NX-916 Super Bass Professional Digital Stereo Headphones with Volume Control
Admittedly I wasn't expecting much for the price of these headphones but thought I'd take a chance. I have earbuds and over the ear clip on type headphones but after a short time, they both become uncomfortable. I also have over the ear headset type but the ear cushions had worn out and I was unable to find the right size replacements. Then came the Naxa NX-916's. The ear cups fit perfectly over the ear and the padded cushions are comfortable for longer wear. The sound at moderate everyday listening is just right in both treble and bass. And I like having the in-line volume control. While a little bulky for on the go I found them to be great on most of my portable gadgets. If you're a gamer or enjoy extremely high volumed sound for music and movies, you may want to check out something else but for me, the Naxa NX-916's fit the bill.

of poor build quality
If you need a really cheap set of headphones, these may work for you. I bought three sets for my team at work. I didn't want to spend much money, but I found these to be uncomfortable to wear, of poor build quality, volume was low, audio reproduction was very poor (it reminded me of the transistor radios I had when I was a kid in the 1960s) and one of them had a lot of static and intermittent audio in one ear cup right out of the box. I returned them the next day. For literally a few dollars more you can find headphones that are much better quality.

Terrible and useless
I got 2 sets of these for my girls for Christmas. One fell apart right out of the box, before she ever even put them on. The other followed suit around the 2nd or 3rd day, with VERY light use. I got a different pair for $10 that are working out great (another brand). These things are absolute garbage, and I'm just grateful Amazon has such excellent customer service, making it possible for me to return them for a refund.

The headphones comes unglued. There is no real bass to speak of!
The headphones arrived in a timely manner. The ear muffs on the headphones (the cushiony part that cover the ears) came unglued about 2 weeks after receiving the product. I used black duct tape to hold the ear cushions in place so they wouldn't fall out! However, once I duct taped the headphones, everything worked fine. Otherwise, no other problems. The bass isn't anything special and there is no real bass to speak of. The headphones are just of average sound quality.I didn't return the headphones because at the time, I just wasn't in the frame of mind to go through the inconvenience of returning the product.

Great low price unit if you know you may have to replace them.
Needed a set of headphones for music and metal detecting, these work great and I'm not worried about them in the rain because they are inexpensive
