disappointment
This was the second shaver I had ordered thru Amazon. The first was priced much lower but it got lost in shipping. This shaver was listed for more but I thought I'd give it a try, but it does not do the job I had expected. I have always used rotary type shavers, but because these models from Panasonic had such good reviews I decided to give one a try. I do not get a close shave consistently and I have to spend lots more time shaving than I am used to. If I use too much pressure I cut my face and so that isn't a good thing either. I would not reccommend this shaver to rotary users as you might find it as much a disappointment as I have.

Would not work!!!
The razor didn't work at all. I charged the battery and nothing. I sent it back and am waiting for a full refund.

Panasonic Foil Shaver
This shaver appears to be well made and runs very quietly. Those are the only two positives that I can muster. The picture of this shaver on the Internet led me to believe that it would feel comfortable to hold and manipulate, but I discovered that it is only a comfort to hold in one position only. As soon as I try to rotate the shaver in my hand to reach all areas of my face and neck, I have to be careful not to drop it. The other thing that I found disappointing after reading all of the rave reviews was that I have to go over the same areas repeatedly to get a close shave. I actully purchased this shaver to replace my Remington MS2 390 Titanium Microscreen foil shaver because the Remington is just plain noisey, but after shaving with the Panasonic for over a month now, I'm going back to the Remington. It gives me a closer shave in a shoter period of time and I don't have any issues handling it. I guess I just needed something for comparison to really appreciate what I had all along.

Panasonic ES7058--had a good run
This was my first electric shaver. I read more reviews for different shavers than I'd like to admit. I had about four problem-free years with this shaver, and I did almost no maintenance. I imagine that if I had cleaned it regularly, as suggested, that it may have lasted longer. It actually still works, but the battery does what some other reviewers have mentioned: one use and it has to be re-charged. It's not actually out of charge, so there seems to be some kind of electrical problem. I definitely got my montey's worth. For the record, I have a light beard. When I first got this, I could easily get ten shaves out of one charge. The only reason I won't buy this same model again is because I have to assume there have been improvements since I bought it.

Don't be a sucker and pay more money!!
OMG! I am writing a review about an electric razor! Yep... Here we go!! First and foremost let me say this. Unless you have hair growing out like Chewbacca, this razor is phenomenal!! I got it for $39.99 and free shipping, here, on the greatest place to shop in the world. I am ecstatic at how well this razor works! For starters I have used many different brands of shaver and I have pretty much had good to poor results with them. For the most part Braun makes wonderful products. I recently purchased there 3 series razor from Wal-Mart for $69.99 and this thing isn't even wet/dry, just washable. It shaved fairly well as most Brauns do but didn't wow me at all. I saw this on here for $39.99 and I saw mostly positive reviews. I felt like I had wasted my money so I took back the Braun and bought this panasonic. I won't be looking back anytime soon. For $40 clams you get a phenominal razor, charger, and cleaning stand...what more can you ask for??I like to shave my noggin and I have a goatee. This thing works beautiful from the very first time I tryed it. It shaves quick and close and isn't half as noisy as anything I have EVER used. This model does not have the linear motor, but who cares! I have had a panasonic with the linear motor and except for a little easier cleaning from the increased rpms, I see no difference. Unless of course you are Chewbacca, then you may need the faster motor.I see people complaining on here about the cleaning cycle taking too long. Well, if everyone in the house used the razor that may be a problem, but who shaves more than once a day? What difference does it make if it takes long if you can do your duty and then have it ready for the next day. Nit picky to me...So in short I like to shave my head and keep a nice groomed goatee. This thing is the bomb for shaving your head wet or dry. Wet gets you a little closer, but not too much to whine about. The trimmer works well on the stache, but is a little awkwardly placed. Minor gripe!! As you can tell I love this thing, and for the price you simply cannot beat it!!The battery even lasts a long time. I left mine running to see what we could get, and it ran almost 46 minutes before winding down. If you want the real opinion from someone who has used just about everything. This razor will not disappoint. Panasonic rocks!! Braun who?

Battery Issue, Battery Issues, Battery Issues
I can use it once, then have to fully recharge it. If not, it goes tick tick tick, but will not start up. You have to put in on the charger for a few seconds, then can get it to start up. PITA.
