Very easy install. Plenty of heat
Very nice build quality and super easy to install. The kit came with pretty much everything that I needed including wire harness and switch. Multiple speed level and nice clean air to heat the cab of my truck. 100% satisfied.

While the copper makes a great heater core
I bought this to replace my blown heater core. The plan is/was to place it behind the seat of my pickup and duct the air under the seat and cobble together a 3 inch hose to prop on the dash when defrosting is needed. Ignoring the obvious difficulties of trying to duct this heater up, here are the my thoughts on the heater itself. It seems well constructed and is quite small. The inlet tubing does block one side of the fan inlet, somewhat cutting down on the airflow into that side. The heater assembly is constructed of 3/8 copper tube. While the copper makes a great heater core, the small diameter restricts the coolant flow at idle. I have found that at idle - 600 rpm - the heat output drops dramatically as very little coolant is flowing through the heater. Once driving, the heater gets full flow and it cranks out some serious heat. I may have to look into raising the idle of the truck during the winter in order to allow the cab to warm up while its sitting in the driveway.Other than those issues, this seems like a nice unit and does what its supposed to.

mojave heater rocks
The mojave heater works better than advertised. I put the heater behind drivers seat of a quadravan that Iam rebuilding. I live in a cold climate. At this time the van is just a shell 18 degrees outside and Im driving at night around town with just a sweatshirt on instead of three coats and a stocking cap.the only thing lacking in the install kit is rubber gromets for the heater hoses going into the fire wall. It took me 3hrs to install mostly because I wanted to make sure of the location of heater before I drilled inch and a quarter holes in my van to run the heater hoses through.

REAL HOT Flex-a-Lite
Item produces sufficient heat as promised by company. 3 speed fan is NOT quiet on Med/High settings. The Install was more difficult than expected from company descriptions and user comments. Fitting for heater hoses required larger and smaller brass couplers than sizes stated on product. Am I satisfied with this purchase? Yes. I would say the install requires more work and know-how than Mfr suggested - directly or indirectly - through customer comments. This will vary with age/size/model of your vehicle.

Manu defect
Would have given it a higher review if I didn't have to fix it first. Flex a lite put the motor fan assembly in upside down, reversing the blower. Works great....now.

Lot's of heat but it's big !
I like it. It "only" costs $200 and provides a big amount of heat. My Taurus (wagon) core heater failed so i need it for the Canadian winter. The only bad thing ... it's very big. I found no place to put it in the car but at feet level (heat goes up, besides that i had no other option). So now i have to turn it off after 5-10 minutes (when car is hot) because it's way too hot. I keep it on speed 2 almost always and like i said it works when it's -20 outside.Something important is that, if used like in my case when the car's heater is dead, the extra pack (with cables for directing heat through a pipe is very important to be able to provide a way to heat the windshield (defrosting)). Sure it's not a humidity remover like the car's standard one but it will Work. But then you need even more space and spend $60 more. Anyway it's way below the standard $800 a new heater costs for these old cars.In our case, we had no option so we bought it an we don't regret it. We have to use what we can afford, everybody would love heat coming from the cars ventilation system but that's impossible in this case. This would be great for a big truck or a tractor.Too bad that we will replace soon the car for a new one so i will have a used heater for sale :)

Good Product but isn't as easy to install as it seems
This product works great it's nice to finally have heat in my Jeep but there is noooooo way I could have installed this myself as the direction might lead you to believe. Maybe if you have an old and I mean really old Jeep you can install yourself. I have a 98 Wrangler and I brought it to a custom car shop to get installed and they had a tough time getting it in there. They had to do all sorts of customized cutting and shaping to get it in there. They did a good job and it looks like an original piece of the Jeep now but it ended up costing me $700 bucks to get it installed. They guys there said there's no way an average joe who is a little bit mechanically inclined could have done that alone. It took them 3 days to get it in to make it look good too. It works great but ended up costing me way more than I anticipated in the long run.
