Q: Can use this in my 19,000 gallon pool to help cool the pool water temperature a few degrees by attaching a hose or fountain to it?

No, it is a submersible pump which means high electricity current could enter the pond in the even of a failure of some sort like a severed or partially exposed power cables. That is why pool pumps are not submersible and are outside the pond. I highly recommend an aerator as they provide bubbling convection to bring a pond to the same temperature. In deeper ponds and lakes water stratifies leaving hotter, oxygen rich water in the upper layers and cooler oxygen depleted water at deeper depths. Q: Is there suppose to be a sound like a ball bearing rolling around in the pump?

No, it shouldn’t have that sound. Mine did the same thing. I had to return it. Luckily for me it was still under warranty and I received a new pump. The second one only lasted for 2-1/2 years. Sorry.

Q: Does the pump shut off automatically if the water level is too low?

No. At least not when the level first drops. My waterfall will stop working, but the pump still runs. I haven
