Pretty good for the price
I've been using these for 6 plus years now. I own 9 vehicles in northern iowa. I usually get 2 to 3 years plus out of these. Not terrible considering the heat and sun in the summer and extreme cold in the winter. They work well on Beam type wipers. Will not work on the old metal style that require the metal clip on the end. Pull the plastic cap off the end of the Beam. Pull the old blade out and cut these to size. Slide in and put the plastic cap back on. I have had zero problems with these. Not sure why others are.

convenient option if you're maintaining multiple vehicles.
I bought this product because I maintain several family vehicles, each vehicle has 3 different length wiper blades. So instead of having to coordinate purchasing like 8 unique wiper blade assemblies, I can keep a couple of these refills on my shelf and use them as a universal replacement. Super convenient, no more runs to the store, less environmental waste, and I save a little money also.My advice to first-timers is to work on your shortest blade first. Once you get that figured out, you'll be able to work on longer blades that have more clips to pass through. Double check to make sure you've passed through the clips properly, it's not uncommon for the rubber to pass through the clip in the wrong groove on the rubber blade.Another tip is to hold the metal blade holder/arm vertically and pass the rubber blade (with metal side strips) up into the assembly. This way gravity will help keep the rubber from twisting all over the place. And if you're a real cheapskate, you can trim the ends off what you remove from a front wiper and use it to refill the blade on the rear of your car.

Really pleased by the simplicity, low cost, and reduced waste!
I had been looking for refills for my existing wiper blades (to no avail) and finally came across the Aero wiper blades and refills. These blades are designed so that the rubber portion can be removed and replaced easily. Bravo!!! The refills are priced at <$10 for four! And the refillable part is only the rubber strip with no structure. Compare this to some wipers costing around $60 for a set. I can't stand throwing away perfectly good wiper blades when all that is worn out is a thin strip of rubber that could be replaced as easily or more easily than replacing the whole blade. I'm also not sure I want to put more silicone on the outside of my car as some wipers do. Not only does Aero take away the mystery of which size replacement fits (6mm wide), they give you a set of refills with the new blade so you can try replacing the rubber strip yourself with no risk. I have had a set of Aero's on my Honda Civic for about a year and they worked as well as any other wiper as far as I can recall. Nice work Aero. Please offer more products where the part that is discarded is only the part that is exhausted. I've grown tired of constantly buying and replacing products where the only worn part is a small piece of the total product cost. Aero wiper blades and refills are superbly designed to minimize waste and reduce the cost to consumers.

The best
I've been using aero for a few years now the best and very inexpensive not like the other type of windshield wipers. You won't regret it once you do the switch.

Unusable on most new models
I liked the easyness of removing my old blade inserts. Installation of the metal bars into the refill was also very easy.I used to replace my wiper blades regularly on my pre technology vehicles. Little did I realize that the current wiper blades are geared to total replacement.in other words, you can put a new refill in, but there is no snap latch to hold it on the wiper arm. The tech vehicles have a wiper refill with a stopping grove where the steel inserts will stop. These just have an open track and nothing to stop the blade from flying out under force when using them. The product is good but unfortunately the new vehicles make it so you have to buy a new wiper blade set that costs approximately four times what a refill costs. I tried to order a refil from Hyundai, they don’t “have” them...lol

Shockingly surprised
am very eco-conscious about everything I purchase - down to product packaging, so when the search recommended such strips, I was glad to explore this option. After much contemplation, bought it, despite the direction that this cannot be used for "sheathed" wiper arms. Had to take apart the full assembly, down to the 2 thin metal strips that hold the wiper rubber. Had to force the metal with the rubber it in to put it back onto the frame ~ 30 mins for both. DIY'er can handle it. And the end result after snow, rain & car wash - it swipes the windsheild clean/streakless. At 1/5th the cost, totally eco-happy!

Best wiper blades found in 55 years of auto repairs!
EASY to install and wipe better than any blades ever tried and last long time too. There is a magic trick to getting them out of the Aero shielded wiper assembly though. At first look you wonder how you are going to disassemble, but you don't. Just pull back the rubber about an inch or so on either of the closed ends and you will see a hole. You can pull the rubber forward and then out. See online videos if needed.
