Replace Power® 420W 420 Watt ATX Power Supply Replacement for HP Compaq HIPRO HP-D2537F3R, HP-D3057F3R

I have an older HP Media center that was purchased back in 2007. The original power unit failed roughly 11 years in and was replaced with a more powerful aftermarket unit. That unit, while still working, began making awful grinding, droning noises from within the case after two years of use. Needing a quick affordable replacement because of budgetary constraints, I came across this unit in a search.The unit works wonderfully and was easy to install. The smaller casing still lined up perfectly with the existing mounting holes and brackets. Even with a slight increase in ambient noise due to the units smaller casing, it isn't imposing to the ear. The smaller casing also allows for better wire management within the PC body and had all the necessary OEM connections with some to spare. The extra power also allows me to still run a second internal drive without issue.All in all, Replace Power has allowed this underdog of a 13 year-old PC to keep chugging along with all but the newest high-RAM required gaming. i look forward to a few more years out of this dino before having to retire her.

My initial concern was that the PSU was much smaller and it had some wired connectors that were not like the connectors on my old PSU. The seller did include a note indicating that the PSU may appear smaller (not as deep), but provides more power and will bolt right into the my PC chassis. He was correct....After I unbundled the wire connectors I found that it had all the right connectors for my PC and it did indeed just bolt right into my PC chassis.It only takes a minute to see this PSU is designed to fit several different PC's that use different style connectors, so it has multiple connectors to fit a wider range of PC's. Just use the connectors that fit your PC tie the other's out of the way.Within an hour I had my PC up and running....and it seems to run faster too. I think the old PSU was dying, probably overheating and starving the components for power.

Order came several days before estimated deliverry date. I used the extension that was provided so wires were more than long enough.

it's been almost a month and my computer is running very well. No noise and fast. i would definitely recommend it. I went to Micro Center and it as so expensive the one they had. so I Took my chances and WHALAA.!!! is working perfectly.

Haven't installed this yet but it appears to be universal as you may have to delete or add plugs to use in your computer. I'll install it when I have time or before warranty expires. Lol

Supply arrived in great shape and installed easily, works just as it should. I had to make up one Y adapter as it was one outlet short for my application compared with the original supply. Also does not have the led light showing out the back side as my original but that was only good for trouble shooting anyway. So far very happy with this replacement supply

Had a computer in testing phase for a couple weeks just turning it on and off with different setups and sometimes being on for 30-60min. Seemed to work great. Once installed permanently and used for a few weeks daily in a computer using less than 300watts the PSU died. In the trash it goes.

I purchased this PS to replace a very noisy PS. The fan in this PS was as loud or louder than the original. Also, being a Ham Operator an electrically quiet PS is necessary and this one was not, so I returned it. The fit was perfect into my old computer and functioned well but the two points I mentioned were the deal breaker.
