Serval Points Listed Below
I love Burts Bess products. When I need a repellent, this is the first brand I have in my head, but I have several points I want to make after using it.1. it is too oily , not that user-friendly to apply; the spray design is not making a lot of sense if this is very oily2. smell is strong. I wear this for vacation; after that, the smell brings me back the feeling of vacation, which is good for me I like it, but I am not sure if other people would feel the same; however, the spell itself is not very pleasure3. the package was not very tied. the cap broke when I received it, but this is the product's fault; I would suggest this bottle to be 1 oz smaller than what it currently is (or having a travel size) because 4oz just excessed the size of most flgiht's limit. I can imagine a lot of people need it for vacation, but it is okay, I pour it out to another smaller bottle since the original bottle was kinda broken anyway.4. and my last point is, it didn't really prevent mosquito's bit anyway, which is I care the most

The best natural insect repellent
This is by far the most effective natural insect repellent I've ever used! It's smell, though strong, is unoffensive. I'm sensitive to strong smells in general and I found it quite pleasant (the lemon and eucalyptus combo is refreshing). I have stopped using every other natural repellent I've tried because they smelled awful to me so the scent was a nice surprise.I did heed other reviewers' advice regarding the oily nature of the product. It may seem like common sense, but you don't want to slather this on and then throw on a silk blouse (it is an oil-based product after all). I had no issue with staining though and I wasn't that careful. Regardless, this was as effective as DEET for me, which is the most important part. It does what it promises to do.I do think the effectiveness may depend on the person. On a five day tropical vacation, I had just two bites while a friend of mine also using this product still had quite a few. She normally gets attacked though so she was pretty impressed with the performance as well. For me, an easy 5-star rating!

I am the person the bugs bite!
Yup, when you are outdoors with swarms of mosquitoes and aren't being bothered...it's because they are eating me alive! I have even had bites swell so large that the skin bruised from the pressure. I will (and have) tried everything. Even Deet.THIS is the only insect repellent I have ever used that keeps the little suckers away! It's amazing!!My first experience with BB repellent was at a July BBQ in the country wooded area of Northern California. I didn't receive a single bite with this stuff on. And I could *see* the mosquitoes swarming around. I went camping last week in the Tahoe National forest for 5 days. I made sure I had this spray. I put a little stream under our picnic table and along the ground at our tent entrance, not to mention on my person. Not a single bite, and no monstrous buzzing in my tent. The very last night I misplaced my spray and had to try and cover up with clothes alone (even used a neighbors repellent). My hands and wrists were bitten within 20 minutes.I am forever sold that this stuff is perfection! I will always keep a bottle in my car now.

Works great- rub it on!
Works great! We definitely have chiggers in our backyard and they give nasty bites that last for weeks. I am hesitant spraying chemicals on my 4 year old just to play in the backyard every day and burts bees has been a fabulous solution! He can play every day and no more bites, and I can relax knowing it's all natural. I will comment on the application- it comes out in a squirt of oil. I recommend wiping that all over your skin to get good coverage. I'm guessing the people it doesn't work for don't do that and it's not like a must that gets everywhere, you have to get oily and rub it around. Do that and you're golden!

I like that its natural and made with oils
Doubles as a repellent and moisturizer. I like that its natural and made with oils, but it does need reapplication as it seems to fade within a couple hours. I can't truly vouch for its effectiveness as I had also mixed this with a Picardin based spray. I was in Africa so I wasn't really taking any chances on strictly natural oils, although I was trying to stay away from Deet. But... I did apply to my arms, legs, and feet and rec'd no bug bites. I did however forget to apply to my neck and chest where I did get a few bites, so my combination was effective.

Bug spray need not smell like a bug repellent in order to work!
Burt's Bees All-Natural Herbal Insect Repellent is our go-to repellent. No chemical odor, easy to apply, and it works for us .... whether on a fishing excursion, or in the woods. And the container can take a lot of abuse in your fishing and hunting gear. We always have at least 2-3 on hand. And the small bottle actually lasts a long time!

Smells good and works pretty well on black flies in Maine
I usually hate citronella based bug repellants, but this one smell more like lemon grass. I used it today when I was mowing the lawn and it kept most of the black flies out of my face. There were a few who buzzed on in anyway, but there are always a few like that. No mosquitoes out today so testing for them will have to wait. The spray part just spewed out a stream, I was hoping for a better spread of the oil but I can smear it around myself. Good to know it has not poisons in it.

Keeps away bugs
This product is great for outdoors. I deliver mail and get allergic reactions to bug bites. This is the only product that keeps me from being eaten alive during the summer. I use a little oil on my hands and rub it on any exposed skin. Works like a charm

Great oil, not so good bottle
Great smell, if you like citronella, absorbs better and sooner than expected, has been effective so far. Just not the best sprayer, first time I had to force it a bit, and then pressed it so hard it bounced off my hand and into my face...
