Neutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Defense Face Lotion with Salicylic Acid, 1.7 fl. oz

I wanted to like this. I was trying to save $$ by switching from a more expensive product with the same amount of salicylic acid to this one. I have used other Neutrogena products well, but i am VERY disappointed with this one. First, the smell was not pleasant. It had a very chemical aroma to it. Second, within 4 uses--that is 2 days-- my face which had been clear was a wreak! I had several blemishes that popped up out of no where. It took me a week of going back to my regular face treatment to get back to where I started. I ordered this online because I couldn't find in a place near me. Maybe if you bought it from a store it would be different. Most disappointing to me is that fact that I can't return it. It is now trash. I don't think this product is indicative of the brand, but what a let down.Wish I had never bought it, but you live and learn.

Consistency is not unpleasant, the smell is not strong. My acne is moderate but is incredibly hard to clear up. I use the Neutrogena Acne Stress Control wipes to wash my face before I go to bed, and then use this lotion in the mornings.The amount of large red pimples I have is reduced to about one at a time, and my skin is a lot smoother. I have a lot of under the skin acne that will probably clear up over time of using this, but there were some pretty quick results. The claim to visibly reduce breakouts in 8 hours is relatively accurate for me, although I'm not sure how it would work on someone who has severe acne.I've used a fair amount of acne treatments, and this is one of the least irritating ones. No burning, flakiness, itching, or bleaching of my towels and clothes.

I don't normally get cystic acne, my skin actually tends to be clear with the occasional white head. Every so often I have a break out about that time of the month and this month they literally showed up on my face over night. 3 dark purplish red bumps on my cheek that were painful to the touch with nothin to pop, not to mention very difficult to cover with concealer. I ordered this the morning I woke up with them and paid to have it shipped the next day and in a matter of 2 days they had gone down to a small bump with no head and within 4 days they were completely gone with just a small light pink scar which is fading now. I couldn't believe it! I used it once in the morning and once at night after washing my face. So amazing. I'm stocking up for the future!

I can no longer find is face lotion in the stores and I ordered it from Amazon. I'm so glad because this is my favorite lotion to wear during the summer months. It keeps down the bumps on my face wow keeping it all free as well!

This acne lotion is amazing! In the two weeks that I've been using this product, I can definitely tell that my acne is clearing up, and the acne that I do have is not so red. I will definitely be buying more in the future.

I love this lotion. It's very lightweight and my skin responded to it immediately. I use this and the neutrogena healthy skin lotion with spf after. This combination works wonders for my skin and my makeup goes on nicely after. I cannot wait to see my results with continued use.

Arrived fast, exactly what i need, great for sensitive skin like myself, really does clear away acne and help keep it away, not oily at all super moisturizing, effective!

Love this face lotion! It only takes a little dot to cover your whole face. It's very light and not greasy. I don't have acne, but my skin is definitely prone to blemishes here and there. I've never had a problem with breakouts while using this lotion.
