Pretty Good
These are pretty good. They're actually a lot bigger than I thought that would be, not that that's a problem. I wanted to cover the outsides with chocolate and fill it with peanut butter to make a truffle, but because of the way the two halves fit together, this really can't be achieved. Also it's really hard to get all the little notches on the Death Star to be really clear. I've had no problems with filling it up or having it explode on me, I just wish the design was a little more designed. Overall it still does make sphere-shaped ice balls, so if that's what you're looking for, then this is definitely the product for you.

Great Gimmick
This thing molds pretty well. The seal is pretty tight and the detail came out really well. I actually bought these to make gimmicky bath bombs for an event, and it didn't quite pick up all the details as much as the ice cubes, but any fan can still tell what it is. It's also a bit difficult to get the BB's out of the bottom half of the mold without it breaking, so it takes some gentle prying around the edges. Overall a great mold, though.

Cool product, if you're lucky
Funny product, but I find I only get a proper looking "Death Star" about 1 out of 3 times.I'm not sure if it's the quality of mold or not, but they do NOT always work as intended. Be sure not to underfill or overfill these; you need to be very precise to get a good looking Death Star. Also keep in mind the Death Stars turn into featureless balls after about 5-10 seconds of being exposed to room temperature air or a beverage.

DO NOT WORK!
Death Star is unusable - came with no instructions but have other sphere ice molds, so experimented to create. That said, the worst is that once frozen, ice ball cannot be removed without ruining the Death Star details; mold is too rigid and thick to pop out or peel away; needed hot water to remove.Did not realize there was a time limit on returning and did not gift them, experiment with them and decide they were a waste before the limit.

May the Ice be with you!
There's nothing like watching the Death Star slowly melt in your drink. The silicone allows you to easily remove the Death Star without much trouble unlike other ice molds. You'll definitely get an inner giggle the first time you take this out of the freezer and you will suddenly start humming the Empire theme song.

It's okay. Fun gift for the price.
They work, but they are hard to get the ice out of without either excessive handling or waiting for it to slightly melt. Cleaning can also be annoying. Hard to tell when it's been filled up the right amount. Does make good ice spheres for drinks though.

Good product
My son and daughter made me buy this a few years ago. It's cute and they liked it then and now.

I thought death star ice would be really awesome but it really just turns into a lumpy sphere ...
The mold does just what it says. I thought death star ice would be really awesome but it really just turns into a lumpy sphere in about 2 seconds. Someone suggested to try using it for other things like chocolate or jello. Probably a better application for something that won't melt quickly!
