Highly recommended replacement battery
Original battery for the Asus J551 gaming laptop.Full capacity was available and works very well.

First one died in 12 months, second one lasted 6 months...
Bought this battery 6 months ago and it is now dead. I thought the laptop had died, but when I removed the battery and plugged in the power source the computer works fine. With the battery installed, though, the computer will not respond at all when I push the power button. The first battery, the one that came with the laptop, died within 12 months, so I'm not at all impressed with this battery. I run the laptop on the battery until it is completely discharged (rather than recharging over and over when it is only partly discharged, which I understand can affect battery life) so I don't believe these two batteries have been mistreated. I'm not at all happy about having to spend another hundred bucks on a replacement battery and will be interested to see what warranty, if any, is offered.

Good Option
Seems to do the job. The battery life seems good, no complaints at all. Fit just fine in Asus GL551JW.
