Works great for the cost, and not so expensive I have to be paranoid about leaving it my car. I left off one star because it doesn't have the sound power of the more expensive ones (my dad has a sony and the sound-quality--wow), but still a great little speaker.

Amazing sound and loudness for a small speaker. Especially good for high pitches needed to hear speech clearly— much better than others I’ve compared it to. I love taking it on trips to hotel rooms.

Good speakers, but the default loud voice that says 'power on' when you 'power on' and 'power off'' when you 'power off' is very annoying. The initial sound level can not be adjusted or lowered.

As a life long music freak, former high end audio salesman of five years and avid collector of Bluetooth speakers, I used to be of the opinion that anything smaller that a JBL Charge 2 or UE Boom wasn't worth listening to music on, but this little guy changed my mind. The volume output for the size in simply ridiculous - it can even shout down my substantially larger Sol Republic Deck. An audio miracle it is not, there is very little bass to speak of and it's a bit light in the lower mid range as well, but in knocks everything else that I've played with of a similar size (JAM Rewind and Sol Republic Punk) into the dirt. The clarity is outstanding - turn it up to maximum, back it off one notch and you will clearly hear every instrument in the band. The fact that this has the superior APT - X Bluetooth codec no doubt contributes to that ability. Another impressive attribute is it's ability to still sound vibrant and lifelike at the LOWEST volume levels, something I've only run across with one other speaker (the $300 Sony SRS-BTX500). Time to put the little ones to sleep with some soft music? This is the right tool for the job. The speaker it also designed to work equally well whether you place it on its back face up or on its edge face out, whereas the competition only allows one option (Punk face up, Jam face out). It also comes with a nice mesh carry pouch, a feature often overlooked on even the most expensive units out there (I'm talking to you Bowers & Wilkins T7, $350). The battery life is as advertised, I get 5-6 hours of use per charge out of mine. In summation the thing that I like the most is that I've been able to enjoy my music and podcasts in times and places that weren't possible in the past, because my little blue buddy (get your mind out of the gutter!) is always in my pocket.

Bought this speaker in late August 2017. It stopped charging five weeks later and, despite writing to the company via Amazon asking how to return, we’ve still had no response. We will therefore be pursuing via Amazon. This is the second failed speaker of the same type, although in fairness the first lasted eighteen months. When it works, the speaker is really very good but I won’t be buying another.

Had this little gem a few years and it comes away on all our holidays. Great sound, long battery life and connects easily. What's not to like!?

I LOVE this speaker. I purchased both the monster superstar and the UE roll. The sound from both is comparable but the look of the monster is what sold me. Really love the silicone protective cover. The blue is bright and attractive. I love the feature of the voice telling you when its on and off. The sound is amazing, coming from such a small device. Easily paired with both android and I products. I am highly impressed over all and recommend this product to any bluetooth music listener.

Speaking as a sound engineer, the Monster SuperStar High Definition Speaker is not an audiophiles choice of speaker in that it lacks the dynamic range and fidelity to qualify for such a designation. However, providing good mid-range dynamics and output and portability it will meet your needs if your expectations are realistic. The MSLP is unjustified, but if you can get it on sale, it's worth the purchase.

This little speaker provides great big sound. Excellent to have around your pool, boat or take to the beach. Easy to set up Bluetooth connection with your phone or computer.
