One of the most popular energy gels for good reasons.
I find GU Energy packs to be very good. Each has a variety of salt and caffeine, so if you want to limit your intake of those, you can alternate them with other packs that have fewer amounts of those two. The gels taste good, do not upset my stomach, and help keep me nourished and hydrated on runs exceeding 6 miles. They also are among the most reasonably priced gels.

These are gross..
I have no idea who eats these, but they are disgusting. I don't know how anyone can finish a packet of this. Just the first gulp makes me want to vomit. I spent the next two minutes after trying this, one gagging and two, trying to convince myself to finish it. If you don't litter, make sure you have something to stick the empty packet in because you will end up with sticky snot all over the place. Now I got like 22 packets of this stuff left and I can't give it away.

Quick burst of energy
I would typically go for 3-5 mile runs everyday however with quarantine going on and majority of gyms closing down in my area, I would run a few extra miles just to stay active. With these Gel packs I'm able to sustain my runs longer with adding more miles and gives me a quick burst of energy and electrolytes to ensure I can power through the runs. Flavor is pretty good and almost identical to the real thing however swallowing is a bit tough as the consistency is pretty thick gel. Overall, great product for long runs.

messy but worth it!
These bags are small enough to carry in my running belt but they are messy so I always carry an extra sandwich bag to keep them separate from all of my other items, keys, money, ID... They seem to keep me going on long runs and well hydrated. Make sure you have enough water to drink with every application, you'll need it, it's thick...and recommended. Flavors are all good. Pay attention to caffeinated and no caffeine varieties if that's important to you. I take one of each on a 10 mile run

Gotta get Gu
Gu fills that niche when you want to carry some emergency calories, but you don't want to actually eat food. Say you are out cycling and you start to feel like you're running out of gas: shoot a Gu and drink some water and you're good to go. Say you're headed to the pool but you forgot to eat your afternoon snack: shoot a Gu. They have a long shelf life and pack a quick glucose punch. They have the consistency of honey, but not the sweetness. Pretty effective.

EXPIRED PRODUCTS -- DO NOT BUY THESE!
I bought a large quantity of these because they were such a good deal. I spent most of the season struggling to get use to the taste and texture. Then, after a 13.1 having consumed two gels, I ended up with liquid diarrhea. I figured it HAD to be the gels because I had some mild abdominal pain shortly after consuming them. BIG MISTAKE to buy these from Amazon in such a large qty. I'm going back to my old standby even though they are 2x the price. Sadly, these have ruined me on Gu products.

Sweet hop flavor, (Amarillo or Cascade)
It’s pretty good as far as energy gel flavors go. The hop flavor is a little more sweet like from a wheat beer than piney like from an IPA. If I had to guess, they were attempting to match Amarillo or Cascade flavors. I personally had hopes for something more Chinook, but I can see that having a broad appeal. The overall flavor is not overly sweet and went down just fine on a long run.I’d recommend searching out a single packet to try before buying a while case (like I did)
