Totally good model
This model is really good. I wanted a model which is able to pair with two devices. Also it is good that I can know incoming calling by vibration.Microphone sensitivity may be only a little bit high. And I hope the battery run a little long more. However, I am satisfied with this model overall.

Best in the market.
This is the best bluetooth headset I have ever used! The only reason I did not give it a 5-star rating is, I am waiting to evaluate the battery longevity. I just got it a few days ago and ma giving the battery a chance to go through a few cycles. This my 3rd bluetooth headset which included the "Jaybird". The quality in fit and bass reproduction is noticeable immediately and am very satisfied with my purchase. Amazon delivered on time, as expected; giving me more confidence on on-line purchases from them. The only con: no carrying case.

Great for going wireless, but not to replace wired quality.
I must say I was a bit of a skeptic when I considered Bluetooth audio. I always feared that I would find the quality lacking and it would irritate me, especially since the cost is so much higher than traditional 3.5 mm wired headphones. As a professional driver I like to listen to music through headphones sometimes, but the cable would snag as I steered or changed gears when using a wired set, so I took a leap and tried this Sony headset out.The design is very simple and feels well made. The battery housing feels solid as do the control pods on each side, and the connecting wire sections are thick and feel very rugged. A big plus point for the construction is the metal earbuds, as these are usually fragile, which I can't see myself ever breaking. The set sits nicely around my neck and the wires are long enough not to pull on my ears, so they are quite comfortable. They do however have a tendency to slip down onto my back if I'm moving around a lot, but I normally stop this by tucking them into a shirt collar. The selection of earbud tips is handy for different sized ears, but I think they could do with being a little softer, they were uncomfortable at first, but I got used to them after a short time and no longer suffer any discomfort. Now onto the important points of performance!Battery life is as advertised, I've happily listened to music for 5-6 hours in a day without any charging. I personally switch them off while not in use so I have no idea what the standby time is like.Connectivity is good, they paired up easily with my Nexus 6P, though I couldn't get the NFC pairing to work for some reason, I paired manually. I have suffered minor, brief connection drops if my phone is in my pocket and I walk. They are fine if I put the phone down and walk around, even up to 12 m away with a few obstacles. That could be a problem with my phone but I have no other devices to test.Audio quality is the most important aspect of course.NOTE: The Nexus 6P does not support AptX, therefore this review is for the SBC codec.I am quite impressed with audio quality, the bass output is very good for in ears, better than that of a pair of Senheisers I previously owned (can't remember the model!). The bass does get a little muddy in some tracks where you won't be able to clearly hear bass guitar over the rest of the bass, but it's generally very good.Mids are clearly pronounced and well balanced, again much better output than the unknown Senheisers. Here's the catch, the high end is very clear and defined, but is slightly too strong. Most high end sounds are superb, beautiful clarity listening to various cymbals etc. but with the highest frequencies you'll notice a bit of distortion. Despite the rest of the sound being very good, this can make the overall sound tinny and somewhat uncomfortable. However, all is not lost as I countered this by installing an equaliser on my phone, and reducing the highs to a comfortable level. If you do this, make sure to only reduce the highs as if you increase anything else it will automatically adjust the balance of the rest to match output. It took a little bit of tweaking but I found the sweet spot such that these are now my favourite headphones, they sound better than all the other earbuds I've ever owned and being wireless makes them more useful.I can't comment on call quality as I've only made very brief calls with them, I normally use a single earpiece if I know I need to talk to someone. My conclusion is that these aren't perfect, you will need a little patience to get used to the fit, tweak the EQ a little and learn their limitations, but if you give them the time they are very good for the (relatively) cheap price. If you buy these, do so because you really want to go wireless, not simply as a replacement for wired headphones as I'm sure you can get wired ones with better quality for cheaper.

Exceptional bass and ergonomics, poor connection and only ok batterylife
I have been using these for a year now almost every day. The bass is exceptional for bluetooth earbuds and the range is good. Connection isnt that great some times no matter how you position them on your neck. The battery life is ok, but could be great. 5 hours is usually plenty but have to recharge atleast every second day. Ergonomics are great for any activity except standing on your head. Bought a second pair for my mother as a christmas gift but the unit was faulty and only held charge for 10minutes. Amazon replaced the item and offered to pay back postage fees, that was nice of them.

Great Wireless Headphones. Sony does it again.
I bought the Sony SBD80 headset for work last year as I've grown tired of wired earphones.I've used them for about 11 months and I thought I'd leave a new and thorough review since I've come to the end of using them now so here's the breakdown.Sound Quality:The sound quality of the SBH80 is brilliant. Really good bass but not overpowering. Clear, crisp sound and the earphones themselves eliminate a good amount of background noise.Build Quality:The build quality of the SBH80 is also of great quality. I've had no cosmetic damage during my use of this product and I'd like to stress again that I've used these for 11 months and there's been no decrease in quality over that period (until the last two weeks)Convenience:The design of the SBH80 is great as all the internals are in a small block which rests on the back of your neck. This also means the weight of the device mostly resides on the back of your neck and most of the time I can't actually feel it there. The entire design oozes with quality and the material of the block has a nice smooth finish to it. Most modern Sony devices also come with NFC Pairing where you literally just tab the devices against eachother and you get an instant Bluetooth connection, something I love about Sony products. Saves you from having to even go to settings to choose the device to connect to. Saves a lot of time.Reliability:The device itself is pretty reliable. It's never really 'broke' on me until my recent issues which is the reason I'm buying a replacement. Lets be honest, in this day and age (wired) earphones usually last a good couple of months. These were the first wireless earphones I've ever bought and I have to say this truly is a great product, well worth the money.Issues:Within the past 2 months I've had some hickups with my SBH80. First issue I ever had was after a certain amount of time (about 9 months), the headset would crash and shut off whenever I pressed the skip button on the device itself. Would usually only happen when skipping a song forward to the next one, going back to a previous song via pressing the button wouldn't cause this issue, only when skipping forward. Recently this issue stopped then came up again. The headset seemed to want to do this whenever it felt like it and I can't really pinpoint a reason for this happening. The biggest issue I've had recently is a connectivity issue. Over past two weeks the connection of the device to my phone would essentially cut up and pause and continue. I keep my phone located in my pocket, so about 1.5ft away from the headset. If I wasn't moving, the connectivity would be fine, but whenever I was working, moving around or lifting things, the connection would 'lag' as if the headset was really far away from my phone, as if it was going out of range and would get really choppy. I experimented in several ways and no matter what pocket I put my phone in, the issue would reside. I also experimented by putting my phone in my fleece and hanging it up in my general working area, this was the best result and no matter where i moved, the connection would be uninterrupted about 90% of the time. I also walked about 8 meters away from the device and the connection would still work. But it would lose connectivity when it was 1.5ft from my phone? I've used the SBH80 with two different phones and the issue happened with both phones. It's become unbearable now and that's why I'm now getting a replacement wireless headset and It'll again be Sony. I've been satisfied overall with this product as It probably saved me more money compared to buying wired earphones which usually always break one way or another and saved me having to buy replacements.Hope this review helped you decide whether or not to purchase this product.
