My new best friend in the kitchen!
I didn't know what I was missing until I bought this chefs knife. This is absolutely amazing! I usually wouldn't pay more than say about 10 bucks on a chefs knife at the most because I'm so frugal. But a friend of mine came over a few days prior to ordering to hang out, cooked with my old knife and told me that I needed a new one. So I stumbled upon this one, and thank goodness I did! I don't know how I could live without it now. This came beautifully packaged so right then and there I got good vibes that it was going to be amazing because it just SCREAMS elegant and classy! In the end what really surprised me was the knife itself. I didn't know how much time I would save, or how much easier it would be to use. It is worth every penny! It came in perfect timing as I had just gotten my hello fresh box (site that sends you new recipes to try, step by step instructions on how to make it, fresh ingredients and choice of meat or poultry, also have a vegan option). So this was much needed for this meal. I'll share pics below to show you how nice the cuts were on the fresh pepper, green beans, scallions, and sirloin steak. Also, how well it minced garlic and lemon grass with ease.It was heavy in the handle which helped with the leverage, sharp blade that cut right through the very thick 9oz sirloin steaks to make cubes for the stir fry, and veggies! This knife has a good feel when chopping, slicing, mincing, and cutting through tough meats with ease! I just can't say enough about how this has changed the prep time, how well it works, and how easy it is to use. I would recommend to anyone who cooks (who doesn't cook right?), and as a matter of fact I have already recommended to friends and family because I'm in love with this! My grandma (who has arthritis) got one and she loves it too! Definitely a must have product for your kitchen! PERFECT! A+++

You get what you pay for and for the money I really like this knife
Sold by EASYMALL and bought as Lightning Deal. For the (cheap) price it is a solid knife. It does not hold the sharpness very long, but that is not expectable at this price. You get what you pay for and for the money I really like this knife. It is balanced OK, comes sharp and is not too hard to resharpen. So far I am using it for a while now and it is working fine...

Not as good as comparable priced knives.
Very heavy and not sharp compared to a similar Japanese steel knife bought at the same time and for less money.

The media could not be loaded. beegod Pro 8-Inch Stainless-Steel Chef's Knife for Professional Chef for Easy Hand-held (Silver) Beegod Pro 8 – inch Stainless Steel Chef’s Knife for Professional Chef or in my case – Mrs. Homebody.I have been using the same knife for 4 years; my old knife was smaller and required more work on my part. I am so excite to have found this knife. I wanted to make a professional video but that did not happen, I have a bouncing seven year old with an active imagination, but the video does hit all the key reason for giving this knife five stars.More than one person has already pointed out the box the knife comes in screams perfect gift. So I will not say anything more about the packaging.I do want to talk about the handle. The handle fits perfectly in my hand, The knife / handle are balanced making the cut easy to control. The blade comes already very sharp and will hold a edge for a very long time. I took a still photo so you can see the blade as it comes from the factory. The blade itself is 8 inches long and when it comes to blades size does matter. Too long and there is no control, Too short and you are doing all the work. Key is to get a blade long enough to do all the work and short enough to allow for control. I really love this size and I had no trouble slicing, dicing, chopping or mincing. In the video I showed just how effortlessly it is to cut an onion. I cut onions very often in this household. Savanna has decided kids should not eat raw onions but I enjoy onions. I enjoy cooking when it is not a chore. The review was based off of my experience with this product and the review was not done as a comparison with other similar products. If this review as helpful to you please let me know

Not sharp, doesn't stay sharp after sharpening. Have tried it for about a year (?) and it is no longer in our knife rotation.

A sharp and good-quality stanless steel chef's knife from beegod
We were looking for a replacement chef's knife for our kitchen because the old one is too dull to cut anything. Our style is more of getting a good quality knife at fair price, use it as long as possible, and go for a replacement instead of buying a high-end expensive knife and try to care for it. This beegod Pro 8-Inch Stainless-Steel Chef's Knife fits our needs so we made the purchase. The package arrives in a long black box and the chef's knife sits well inside with a plastic sleeve covering it for protection. It arrives in good condition and the nice package makes it also ideal for a gift.PROs:- The blade is listed to be 5CR15MOV 3.0MM 100% stainless steel. 5CR15MOV is the chinese equivalent of the German X50CrMoV15 steel, one of the most popular kitchen knife steels in mainstream German knives. It is easy to maintain and rust resistant.- Sharp. I usually try out knifes by cutting cutting a thin slice of ripe tomato. I managed to do it without deforming the tomato too much so it is good.- Nice Handling. The handle part is easy to hold and the weight distribution is balanced when holding in hand. The handle part is also stainless steel with POM inlay.Overall we're happy with the purchase and its sharpness does help us to speed up cooking preparations.

Good knife. Factory sharpen is crap. Make sure to sharpen yourself after it arrives.
Pros: Well balanced knife. Has good weight.Cons: Factory sharpening is kind of crap. Pretty disappointed with the knife right out of box. Much happier after running it through my sharpener.
