A must have home studio
Actually this is my second RTA workstation. I lost the first one in a flood and had to get another. I feel this is must have for a home studio. You will not need anything more and and don't settle for anything less.

Don't buy if you have an 88 note controller/keyboard/synth
This is a quality desk. It took me about 2 hours to assemble it by myself. With help, you can cut that in half. The only real tricky part is attaching the top part of the desk and the rack rails. The rails themselves go pretty high up toward the top and leave a lot of space at the bottom close to the main desk top. I'm guessing the design idea there was so stuff could fit under a rack mounted piece of equipment at the bottom of the rail. Unfortunately, it ended up being poorly designed because rack equipment is high enough so someone seated at the desk may not be able to see the top portion of the equipment. In other words, if you have knobs or a digital or analog readout at the top of a unit, you might not be able to see it as the top table overhangs a bit. If you want to remedy that by drilling holes and remounting the rails, be my guess, but good luck. You'll need to line them up properly. The desk is sturdy yet moves around fairly easily on carpet. In that sense it is a good buy. However, there are 2 issues I'm having with this desk -- one I knew or should have known about and the other I didn't realize. There is no holes on the bottom of the table top for mounting a keyboard and mouse tray. To me, this is a huge flaw. I knew it wasn't there, but I didn't think I'd need it. I need it because of the second issue I'm having -- it will support an 88 note keyboard but you won't have room for anything else. I'm not able to put my computer keyboard or mouse anywhere. So, I bought a different controller that cost 700 bucks! Had I known I would need to do that, I wouldn't have bought this -- I would have gotten the similar but much more expensive desk that had the keyboard/mouse tray built in. This may not be a problem you'll have but I want to make you aware -- if you are needing to put an 88 note keyboard on here, find another option. It probably WILL fit, but nothing else will.
