HP OfficeJet Pro 6975 All-in-One Wireless Printer, Double-Sided Print and Scan, HP Instant Ink, Works with Alexa (J7K36A)

My original printer was an HP that I've had since 2004 when I was in college (yes, I'm old..lol). This was a perfect replacement and I looked at models of printers for two days before I decided on one. I have no regrets whatsoever. It is so handy to not have to have my computer connected via a cord when I need to print something. We are currently traveling in a camper and I can't keep my printer and computer connected all the time because I have to keep them in different spaces in the camper due to space. So it's such a relief that I can just hit print and not have to take my computer into the other room and mess with the cords and put paper in the printer just to print something. I love that I can print on both sides without having to babysit the printer and flip the paper myself. I have had no problems scanning anything. I just hit scan and it's there on my computer ready for me to do what I need to. I haven't used the fax function, so I can't say anything about that. I leave the printer on all the time. The screen turns itself off after a little while so it looks like it's off, but goes right back to work when you hit print or scan or whatever. I love that the paper tray is in the bottom of the printer. My previous one there was a tray that flipped down and you put the paper in there. I couldn't leave the tray flipped down because there was too much of a risk of it getting hit and broken. With everything compacted into one area there are no pieces hanging around that I feel can be easily broken. I do not use Instant Ink. I can see how some people would find it very useful. It's just not for me. I prefer to be able to just change the ink when I need to. I keep ink at all times so the second I run out I can change it. The printer is very sturdy and very well made. I honestly have no complaints at this time and I am very happy with my purchase.

I purchased one of these 2 years ago, and my wife took it because she liked it so much, so I bought an identical one (this model series) that uses the same ink - 902. This model is about $50 less than what I paid for it 2 years ago. Prints and copies on 2 sides, multiple page printing and scanning, in color or B and W. I also use Smart Ink replacement cartridges found here on Amazon as well that will save you 75% and give you more ink. Disregard the warning sign that the world will end unless you use genuine HP inks.

Touchscreen could be larger; no tech support needed as of yet so N/A; printer appears to be efficient with high quality print. Wish easier to do a ‘fast draft’ to save ink but printers don’t appear to have that option anymore. It’s large/wide so make sure you have the counter space-we did since our old scanner & printer took up a large chunk.

Pros:Great wireless printer, easy to use, prints well, holds a nice amount of paper, prints both sides.Cons:Can NOT use GPC compatible 902 ink cartridge. Does NOT state it anywhere in the description. The price for the HP brand is ridicules, Highway robbery. If you don’t use the printer for a couple of days, the printer constantly does a cleaning, when you need to print quickly, you have to wait till the cleaning is done, it gets to be a pain in the a$$ after awhile.

Only problem I have with this is the touch screen needs to be a little bigger and clear in print.Otherwise I like this printer.I recconment this product .

Went to the local office supply store. Amazon was cheaper. We are VERY happy with the printer. There are 5 of us using it during stay at home time for school, work, and personal. Priced out the other brand refillable cartridges and it is about the same. Wish ink was cheaper for all printers.
