Formula Change, Calories are now 10mg and Less Healthy Overall?
I used to love this, BUT Pfizer has changed the product, and IMO, made it less healthy. It could be the new formula that is causing the spikes in blood pressure looking at the dates. The new formula was made available in mid September after being taken off the market for 6 months. Anything sold prior to Sept 15 was the old formula. (Pfizer did not even have the revised product available until Sept 15) I had stocked up on the original version and I still have some boxes now. I put the two versions next to one another and compared the 2 labels. Even though Pfizer customer support (who you reach when calling the "Alacer" Emergen-C number on the box) assured me that no changes were being made to the formula -- there were changes made. The obvious changes are: Pfizer upped the calories from 5mg to 10 mg per packet, raised the carbohydrates from 0 to 3mg, they completely removed the Alpha Lipoic Acid (a hero of a nutrient!), raised the sodium by 10mg, raised the sodium by 10 mg to 70 mg, reduced Folic Acid from 100mg to 25mg (a necessary nutrient that most people are deficient in) ADDED corn syrup solids (!) and dried cane syrup along with the fructose, natural flavors and orange juice concentrate are now listed. The orange juice concentrate may be what raised the carbohydrates and calories..The original formula was a healthier formula. I don't know where they are sourcing their ingredients from now or earlier. (I just called to inquire where ingredients were from) Pfizer wants sell those pharmaceutical drugs, which is their primary business, so isn't it a conflict of interest to keep people healthy?I just got off the phone with (Alacer/Emergen-C) Pfizer Consumer Healthcare to find out where the ingredients are sourced. After being told "globally" because Pfizer is a global company, I learned the 2 countries they will admit to are the here (U.S.) and China. As an aside; I found it amusing the length to which Pfizer goes to hide the fact that it is not Alacer you are calling. You can't call Alacer, they exist in name only. Emergen-C is wholly owned and made by Pfizer. You aren't calling California, you are calling N. Carolina. The line answers saying "thank you for calling Alacer Corporation" then it switched to "thank you for calling Emergen-C" and then when the rep answered she identified herself as an Alacer Corporation rep. I asked if I was calling California, and she said no. I asked if I was speaking with Alacer and she admitted no. She then admitted I was speaking with Pfizer corporation. Pfizer obviously doesn't want to advertise the fact the world's largest big Pharma company owns Emergen-C.!

Product is always excellent, but new packaging is very poor.
Alacer was bought out by Pfizer and this product went off the market for months. It finally showed up again and I ordered it, as I use two packets everyday and it keeps me very healthy with a strong immune system. So, provided the product is the same, it's excellent!Pfizer must have been under heavy pressure to get a product out. It seems they must have moved the production facility and changed they way they seal the packets. Roughly ten packets were burst open from the side of the packaging. The seals were very poor and many, many more are very close to bursting as well. There was powder everywhere when I opened the package.I don't know how to even get this situation remedied since it was off the market for so long.

Your's in Health
Another product I have used for years. It was out of stock at my other source (price comparable). I ordered the last one in stock with Amazon. Both sources have been out of stock since, which is very frustrating. I finally called the manufacturer and learned that it would not be available until at least September of 2015. Grrrrr!I am 62 years old. Since I was in my late 30's, if I did not drink enough water or take enough Vitamin C, my joints started hurting. I used other types of vitamin C until I found EmergenC. I take at least 2 packets a day, morning & evening. If I am over tired or feeling puny, I will consume more. I have found a flavor I can tolerate until I can obtain the Lite.

Super product--please new flavors
I was a huge fan of emergen-c strawberry-kiwi 5 clories ONLY 2 CARBS. It was discontinued. Looking for a low carb emergen-c brought me to this one with MSM (VERY GOOD IDEA). I am just not a fan of the lemon-lime or citrus flavors. The product is good. Please make it in other flavors for those of us that are not enchanted by your citrus. (I am surprised I don't like it because I like lemon on things and I like lemonade.) If not the excellent strawberry-kiwi, please find something else (NOT orange which I have tried in other emergen-c products). I recommend buying it for hydration and for keeping up with nutritional needs. It's an excellent way to add vitamins! I am determined to finish this box and not give it away like I have passed on the other citrus and orange emergen-c packages I have purchased.

Not as fizzy as the regular kind
I wanted a lower calorie alternative to the regular orange emergen-c, which is 35 calories a pack. This is 10, so it met that criteria, but it's not as fizzy. The flavor is fine - it doesn't taste saccharine or sugar-free, but there's not as much effervescent as the regular kind. I'll drink this package up, no problem, but I'll be looking for alternatives before reordering. Or I may have to add it to a little fizzy water.

I buy this flavor because it's the least sweet. Taken with additional MSM and a regime of ...
I wish they hadn't sweetened other flavors. I'd rate it 5 stars if in usweetened. As Ii understand it, sugar depletes body of the very minerals we are trying to ingest with emergencee. I buy this flavor because it's the least sweet. Taken with additional MSM and a regime of ASEA, I credit this to a return to good health. No more arthritis or depression, corrected liver function, clarity of thought and other improvements

This is a good product and I used to buy it all the ...
This is a good product and I used to buy it all the time. I'm trying to avoid folic acid now and looking for folate in ingredient labels. It is a good way to get vitamin C and helps with hydration. Just wish it had folate, not folic acid, as an ingredient. I like that it contains MSM which seemed to have been helping my arthritis.

Favorite flavor
I stopped drinking caffeine and need something even if it is just imaginare to give me a morning pick up. I add this to my breakfast smoothie and it gives it that extra something to take the place of coffee and tea. I've tried a bunch of different flavors and don't really like any of them with just water so I end up adding them to other drinks and lime seems to go with everything.
