Casio 2018 PRW3100Y-3 Watch PRO TREK MB-6 TRIPLE SENSOR VER CasioWith the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward. P.when('A').execute(function(A) { A.on('a:expander:toggle_description:toggle:collapse', function(data) { window.scroll(0, data.expander.$expander[0].offsetTop-100); }); }); Here are some new color variations for the PRO TREK-3100 Series of Triple Sensor models that pick up information about the ever changing environment around you. The cases and faces of these models are basic black or green, for designs that are easy to coordinate with a wide variety of outdoor fashions. The digital displays of the PRW-3100Y use STN liquid crystals for the best in readability. These new models add a variety of new design enhancements, without sacrificing any PO TREK Function. BEST PROTREK FOR SMALLER WRISTS
I'm a big Casio Protrek fan. I've owned the following models:PAW-5000PRW-7000PRW-S3100PRW-3500I work in Law Enforcement and like to wear a watch that syncs atomically and can take an absolute beating. I am very good to my watches....but I make a point to be extra rough on my work watch....I enjoy the patina and beat up look. This is my second Casio Protrek PRW-3100 series watch. My first was the PRW-S3100 which was the green and black model with the carbon fiber strap, sapphire crystal, and regular STN display. I wore that watch for a year before I sold it to buy the uber premium PRW-7000.I have a 7 inch wrist and which makes anything bigger than 42mm look silly. Lately I've been gravitating towards smaller watches.... 38mm - 42mm is my sweet spot. I loved my PRW-7000 but it was too big for me and after a year of trying to convince myself otherwise....I sold it a few weeks ago.Amazon was blowing these out for $182 USD....that is a smoking deal for this watch in my opinion. This watch has an amazing blacked out display, atomic timekeeping, ABC functions, World Time, stop watch, timer, all the essentials of a good daily driver.I've never owned a blacked out display watch before because I've never been a fan of the dim display. Casio's new STN Display pops and its the best you're going to get. Is it as clear as the standard display?? nope....but its totally legible, light years ahead of other blacked out screens, and the cool factor is very high. The strap is not carbon fibre like the PRW-S3100..... this came a resin strap which is still very comfortable and black keeper. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the flat olive green color of this watch. Matched with the gunmetal steel bezel this watch is aesthetically pleasing. The mustard yellow marking on the 12:00 position on the bezel is a great touch.Casio Protrek watches can take an absolute beating. Mine came charged to a level M out of the box....I put it under a watch charging lamp overnight and its been sitting at level H since.I've been rocking this watch at work for about a week, I've taken it to the gym, and showered with it. These Protreks hold up to anything. My previous Protrek spent almost a full year on my wrist and in the end the only signs of wear was to the body and straps...the crystal was in perfect condition after putting it through hell.If you have bigger wrists I would recommend the PRW-3500 series. The biggest complaint I found for the PRW-3100 in my research was that it was too small for some wrists.....coming from a PRW-7000 this size is PERFECT for me. If you own a PRW-3000 this watch should fit exactly the same. The PRW-S3100 was considered the most premium version in this line. Having owned that watch and this....I believe this is the better watch. The premium you pay for a carbon fibre strap and sapphire crystal is not worth it. Besides.....the black out screen, gunmetal bezel, and matte olive green case is a killer combination.Unless a watch comes along with some serious "wow" factor I don't see myself replacing this watch anytime soon. My wish is that Casio starts making GPS sync Protrek in this size....I'd be all over that.

Buy it
The watch is fantastic. It’s easy to set up with the manual, it charges off the sun, it is very accurate telling time as well. I do have one complaint and that has to do with wearing the watch, it has a two plastic blocks under each band and they pinch my arm hair constantly and slowly driving me to insanity. Instead of shaving my arm hair in that one area where the watch rests I just used some electrical tape and wrapped it around the bands and few times and i haven’t had an issue since. I’m not going to give it a lower rating just because of that, it’s a great watch buy it.

If you wear reading glasses....
I wear 1.5 or 2.0 reading glasses. This watche's negative display is harder to read than my other casio with positive display in anything other than bright condition. In bright condition, it actually is easier to read. Number just kinda Pops. For me anyway.Very nice watch and negative display is so much nicer looking.Just can't read it easy without reading glasses.Sad but had to return it and looking for positive display or analog display.

Good watch
Nice watch, looks great, like the easy to see sunrise sunset times. The times are easy to see bright days, light works well at nite. Feels good on wrist has a durable lookCons the band is borderline small for my wristThe alarms are not loud enough, won't wake me upAll in all I like it better than my old pro trek watch which was to bulky

Protrek Beauty
I needed a beater, for general usageThis fits the bill well, very nice build quality.Very comfortable fit & finish. No worry, proven protrek quality. The display is large& has very good visibility for a negative view.It is quite attractive in normal light with a unique greenish hue

Had to send it back, negative display almost impossible to see
Let me say that I love Casio watches, and own several G-Shocks but this is my first ProTrek. One of my criteria for owning any watch is that I need to be able to glance at it and know the time immediately. Unfortunately, the negative display was very hard for me to see and I knew within a few minutes that I had to send it back. I got the PRG-300-1A2CR instead and love it.

Stopped working within 80 days. We will see if Casio fixes it.

Perfect watch. My last Casio was in 1987
Perfect watch. My last Casio was in 1987. I'm happy to have it again. Not sure that all measurement sensors are precise but some other features are more important to me. I put the watch into special box with glass window located on the second floor of my house and it receives a signal almost always. The battery shows High rate but It has been for just 5 months since a purchase. The watch looks great for any activities.
