Quality Controller with questionable design
Bought this controller a few weeks ago now and it's been running fairly well for me all things considered. The lights in the controller look great for late night gaming sessions and they stand out among friends. It also serves as a gamepad like the normal Xbox 360 Wired controller, something I didn't expect to actually work since it's third party. the buttons fuction well enough. That said there are still a few issues with this controller. The sensitivity of the thumbsticks takes a little getting used to as does the rubber feeling of the buttons but once you do you won't be able to tell the difference. The triggers are quite loud as well but like any noise on a controller it blends into the back ground after a while. The lights and material used for the controller also cause a lot of sweating, especially in individuals who already get the palm sweats hardcore, so watch out for that if that bugs you.All in all I'd say the pros far out weight the cons, and for the asking price you can't go wrong. It's not the default wired Xbox 360 Controller but I'd say it's the next best thing with a little more flash. 4/5

Huge deadzone, leds stop working
I like to play racing games and this controller is impossible to use with the massive deadzones. I tried as hard as i could to keep the speed steady, but its either full trigger or no trigger. The sticks are p[retty much the same story, unfortunatly. There is something about the leds and a pc or something because when i plug it in, it blinks red and shuts off. I know its the controller because it worked fine for awhile and started doing that.I returned one because it was bugging me so much, i just wanted a cheap controller for computer games. The second one has the same problems. Would not recommend, no matter how casual of a gamer (Maybe if you want to let your 4 year old sister use it)

Nice, solidly built controller
I think the Afterglow controllers are the best third-party controllers I've used. They are very rugged and can take a beating. They may even be better than Microsoft controllers (Afterglow's bumper buttons won't break if the controller falls off the coffee table...) No complaints about the sensitivity of the thumbsticks, but I tend to play a bit more aggressive. The dead zone seems right for me and the responsiveness is consistent across the entire range of movement. Some thumb sticks seem to have a ramp up in sensitivity where little movements suddenly become large ones which is frustrating in FPS and racing games. The FPS games I've been playing have an aim-assist so I can't speak to the sensitivity in hardcore, multiplayer FPS gaming. I've found switching the glow effect to active with rumble works best. It's not constantly lighting up the room and the flickering helps reinforce the fact the controller is trying to tell you to find safety.

It's really bright!
Some reviews I've read say Afterglow controllers break easily. I guess if you drop it enough it would be. I haven't had a problem holding on to the controller and I don't play button-mashing games, so it works great for the games I play with it. The red glow is pretty sweet in a darkened room, but if you tilt the controller just the right way, some of the LEDs flash right in your eyes. So I have to try to remember to keep the controller near a 45 degree angle to keep from squinting from the bright lights. Other than that, no complaints!

Good Controller For small gamers
My son loves this controller! He likes that it's not wireless so if he's in the middle of doing something, the batteries won't run out and he loses. And, he can impress his friends with it! This is a nice product if you hate having to go buy 20 batteries for your controller, and you want something that looks cool. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the LEDs are still green and I thought that they would look red. We fixed that problem by buying red LEDs and going to a solder. Otherwise, this controller is great!

A good controller but not excelent
This controller is good, only a few things I can complain.1st its kinda noisy (personally I don't like that) when pressing the buttons the click quite loud, compared with an official MS Xbox360 controller2nd sometimes I have to unplug and plug again the controller because it doesn't work, that is quite a bother.Aside those issues i mentioned i'm pleased with the controller, it's confortable to grip and works exactly like an MS controller, would recomend the buy only if you can overlook the cons I mentioned above.

Rugged, cheap, works
They seem solidly built and of similar quality to the OEM XBox controller. The glow is interesting for a while, but not really a feature. Don't but this for the lights. The joysticks and both triggers are analog and, once calibrated, have good reproducability and accuracy. The cable is long but combersome, so most heavy users would eventually want to go with a wireless controller. The price of this controller is low, so I recommend it to those who are looking to save a little money.

Beautiful Red LED Goddess! ... till it isnt.
This is a beautiful controller that I purchased for my red colored gaming rig. Functions perfectly and i've had no issues since i purchased it sometime last year. As expected it also works perfectly on the 360 without any problems. Plus it glows, c'mon, everyone wants something glowy.EDIT: One year later with minimal use and zero drops, it no longer glows. Sad face.Controller still works fine though.
