one of the best things before going to bed!
I have gotten into the habit of reading one of th stories found in this book each night before I go to bed - I love it. It sets my heart for going to sleep and sets my day when I get up. (When I forget - I can really tell a difference in how my day goes.) I love the Bible passages, the stories that follow, and the prayer at the end. So, many times it speaks to me so strongly. It is fun the read about the author of each story in the back where there is a photo and bio on each. You get to know them after a while. A lovely book to give to yourself or another person. A wonderful reminder of who is in charge and the joy it can bring. Faith is such a good thing. God sure knew what he was doing to give us each other and this book! (I bend the corner of the pages that really, really speak to me and I never do that to a book . . . ) I am looking forward to Daily Guideposts 2011, but I could easily read this over again. (A special thank you to all of the authors - good job!)

Real life connected to the Holy Word
The Daily Guide Post could not have a better title. I have read devotionals for several years now and all of them seem to be the right one for where my life journey was at the time. This is so special because it shares real life stories and how people translate the word in to every day issues from just finding peace, dealing with conflict, appreciating gifts, facing difficulties. In a year where we have experienced several passings of family members, graduations, weddings and births this 360 degrees of life based on the word but spoken through everyday context is priceless.

Daily Guideposts
I absolutely love the Daily Guideposts. It is a great way to start my day. I can relate to the people writing the daily devotions. I love the verses and prayers that go with the daily devotions. Also, another benefit is that I can write my own reflections at the end of each month and I review these reflections to remind me how God works in my life. I only wish this was on Kindle!

Daily Reading Program
I have been reading the Daily Guidepost books for many years. As of January 2012 I'd read all volumes from 1978 through 2009. I purchased 2010 and 2011 via Amazon.com to get ready for my 2012 daily reading program. As of March 13th I'm on schedule to finish both volumes on the last day of the year. It's never bothered me that I am never reading the volume for the current year.I find many thought provoking and useful items in the books and sometimes quote from the books in two Google blogs I write. I recommend Daily Guideposts as a good way to get a daily reading program started.

GREAT!
This is a yearly gift for my mother every Christmas. My mother and brother, who is still in high school, read from it every morning to start their day right. It is always a hit with Christians that are looking for a daily devotional, and it doesn't have the day of the week just the date so she frequently will give hers to others after she is done with it.

Just Love It!!
I bought a copy of Daily Guideposts for my wife for Christmas about 7-8 years ago and we both loved it. It has since become a tradition. I get her one every Christmas. It's amazing how the stories seem to relate to our personal lives. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to read real world faith filled stories.

Never grows old!
The meditations in the Daily Guideposts are always new; I find something exciting and enlightening every time I reread the volume. I feel that I know the writers and they speak to me.

Daily Guideposts 2010
I have been reading Guideposts for at least twenty years. It has ever disappointed me. I look forward to following the events in the writers' lives which are always included in their short bios. The devotionals are always uplifting, sometimes funny, and always inspiring.
