Nice and long, but not good for gripping small items (e.g. ramekins)
I like the length of these oven mitts because my kids are so afraid of getting burned they won't take anything out of the oven without a long mitt. However, they are not very supple and it makes gripping things with them somewhat difficult. I had a pair that was very soft silicone and I was hoping these would be more like those, but they aren't. They do have a removable inner lining which can be put in the washing machine, so that's good.

Fit well, very flexible. Outer shell is water resistant so the heat protection is not compromised by a spill. Heat protection from inner lining is good for handling baked and roasted items with the same effectiveness as cloth-only mitts. Important that you be sure to put your hands inside the cloth liner. On one occasion I slipped my hand in under the silicone outer layer but on top of the inner liner. Very little heat protection with silicone alone. Fortunately, I caught the error before I picked up the item. .

Love these oven mitts - they go all the way ...
Love these oven mitts - they go all the way to my elbow. I kept burning my forearms on the oven racks, and that doesn't happen any more with these.

Great addition to my camping pack list
This product was just what I was looking for. I was tired of burning my arms reaching into a campfire to get my cast iron pot, but not this mitt solves that problem and I couldn't be happier! The removable liner is a huge plus as well. After a season of camping, the liner will need a good washing after I'm done with it.
