SIMPATCH – OmniPod Adhesive Patch (25-Pack) – Waterproof Adhesive, CGM Tape – Multiple Color Options (Biege)

I love these over patches for my O5. Work great, reasonable price and provide some extra protection for the summer baseball season when I need it.I don't have issues getting them on and off nor even know they are there.Kind of wish they had different color options but it's not a big deal to me.I signed up for the subscription to save a little cash and ensure I have them on hand when needed.

Good it works great, it takes some practice putting it on.

I put one of these patches on when I put on my last Omnipod to see if it would help prevent the edges of the pod stay down. I had it on for the full 3 days - showered, did strenuous work, ran - and it didn't show signs of peeling at all! It did a fabulous job of preventing my pod from peeling off. (It even took a little work to remove it, which is a plus in my book).I have sensitive skin, too, and other than a little redness (no more than the typical bandage-removal type), I had no reactions to the adhesive at all.I'll definitely be getting more of these going forward!

The OmniPod insulin delivery system is great, and usually sticks well. But my partner rock climbs, and occasionally tears off the adhesive on his pod. We've started using these if extra activity is expected, especially if water will be involved. However...you must allow them to cure for a hour plus before hopping in the pool. Otherwise, they roll right off, and take the medical device with them. I wish there was a strap that went across the OmniPod (which BTW, I spoke with a Insulet Rep and they support these stickers to hold down the pod - even ones with a strap across the pod were recommended). Also, removing the paper is a bit fussy. But the price is good, no skin issues have arisen from the use of this product, and they're useful keeping the OmniPod stuck down. We also use the Dexcom stickers by these guys too. The only frustrating thing is the packages for both the Dex and the Omnipod Simpatch stickers look identical. Nothing my sharpie marker wouldn't fix. :-)

I love these patches for my omnipod they have very good adhesive and u get a bunch in a pack! They stay on great especially when you need it when it’s very hot out and being in water swimming etc!

I have been using OmniPod for 5 years now, and I just cannot believe I didn't find these sooner. I have lost so many pods to unfortunate fitting room, pool, and doorway incidents, which the simpatch could have prevented. It fits nicely on top of the existing adhesive of the pod, makes it feel very secure, and does't come off until you need it to. The OmniPod adhesive does not withstand water exposure too well, but that issue seems to be entirely resolved with a simpatch on top of it. I have not noticed any irritation on my skin, and the removal was not any worse than removing just the pod alone. The edges will begin to peel occasionally towards the third day, but you can also off the edge that is peeling to stop it from going any further. Overall, I am very happy with this product and will be purchasing some for my Dexcom CGM, too.The price is a bit up there for 20 of them, but I think it is well worth it. You will save plenty on pods and insulin you didn't lose, and you will have one less thing to worry about as a type 1 diabetic, which I find priceless.

Why is the brown skin-toned patch more expensive than all the other colors? Yet another form of racism. Well I won’t be buying ANY color ever again.

First, I understand the importance of having some sort of reinforcement for the Omnipod device. I have had at least two fall off before expiration. Not good. So I purchased this brand. It does the job, from my initial experience. Good! But when I tried to remove it that was the issue. It was like removing a second layer of skin even with my usual adhesive removal product and left a splotchy patch of black adhesive. Maybe I missed the reviews regarding how to remove it, but at the end of the day I certainly can have the confidence it will stick until I don’t want it to stick!
