Really cute, but skin tone is a lot darker in person
The doll is very very cute, but I was trying to find something that looked like my godchild who is biracial. Online, this looks almost exactly like her skin tone so I was really excited to be able to give her a doll that was a beautiful combination of races just like she is! In person it is much darker. It's still an adorable little doll, but the skin tone is really a bit off. I am only taking off a star because of that. I was able to find a biracial doll for her, so I will be returning this one, but if you are looking for an African American doll that has a darker complexion than this one seems to, she would be really cute to give the little girl in your life!

She loves it so I kept it...
I think the concept of this doll is great - ethnic, soft, cuddly, cute, talks like a baby and plays gentle music to aid in lulling babies to sleep. My two slight gripes are 1) the manufacturers for the doll should have made the nipple of the pacifier and the mouth of the baby larger as it is very hard for a child to connect the two, and 2) the picture is misleading. I purchased the doll thinking it was one shade of brown; however, it was quite darker. The shade of brown isn't an issue in and of itself; it just would've been nice to receive what I thought I was purchasing. At the end of the day, my daughter loves the doll so I kept it.

My one year old loves it
I bought this for my 13mos old for Christmas, she immediately loved it. I take a star off because 1. the pacifier was hard for my sweet to put it in the dolls mouth. She would get frustrated but after a few weeks of trying she is able to put it in with ease. 2. The doll was a lot darker than advertised. I bought the doll thinking she was a lighter shade African American but she is darker than everyone in our household. Other than that my baby she sleeps with her baby every night.

Daughter loves her new baby
My 1.5 year old's cousin had this doll and daughter loved it, so I bought this for her for Christmas. The African American was over $10 cheaper than the caucasian, so we went with this one. Skin is darker than what is shown on doll, though it doesn't matter. She loves her "bayba" and rocks it when it sings it's sweet lullaby. My only complaint is, as others have noted, the paci is hard for little kids to get to stay in the doll's mouth.

not quite as pictured
Amazon needs to change the picture of this doll because it's quite misleading. I put biracial into my search and this doll came up. I was thrilled as she looked just like my grand daughter. Nope. She's a nice shade of dark brown and her outfit is dark pink and not the light pink it shows. My daughter said not to send it back and I won't. I've had great experiences with Amazon, but they should really reconsider their choice of pictures.

Skin color MUCH darker
When I opened the box, I didn't know what, or how this came in. It's a nice doll. BUT I would NOT have purchased it , had I known it was 8 shades darker than the picture I saw on here. I will now look for a Hispanic doll , because this one is extra crispy. Yep, I'm Black, and this doll is midnight blue. I hope my grandchild isn't afraid of it. If she is, I will be retuning it.

Not impressed
I blame myself. I obviously didn't read the description on this doll but I was SO glad to have found a pretty little dark skin doll I just bought it. But, beware, the head is big and hard, she coos and talks and the pacifier is too small for my daughter to manipulate into her mouth. What I wanted was just a small dark stuffed doll without the bells and whistles.

Good Doll
My daughter really likes this doll.My dislike is that the pacifier doesn't fit right (crooked). You sometimes have to place the pacifier in its mouth a few times before it'll play one of the tunes. However, my 16 month old daughter loves it anyways. So, I guess these other things aren't important.Product is as described (for the most part).Hope this helps.
