Sunwarrior Classic Raw Vegan Superfood Protein Powder Chocolate, 1Kg

I agree with the comment below - something has changed.I’ve been ordering this for a while and all my orders I loved. This is the best tasting vegan protein. Or at least it was - but something ain’t right. I’m not sure if they’ve altered the taste themselves, or if something is wrong with the batches. Either way, it is now absolutely horrid. It smells different, tastes different, and the difference is foul.I contacted amazon and got a refund, but I’m not really bothered about that. What I’m more concerned about is what is going on. This has been both my last two orders so does this mean all future orders will taste bad, or is it just this order and should I roll the dice?Either way I suggest everyone who has been ordering and has noticed that this has changed to contact amazon and voice your query - not just so you can get your refund but also so they properly look into. I’d happily pay for this product and just want the old, good tasting stuff back!Mike.Added 6th July 2018:I have now ordered several deliveries of this item and the following is what I had observed. When this product is ordered as part of a subscribe and save purchase, the product that arrives is of the foul tasting batch. However, when I order the product not as part of a subscribe and save purchase, and just as anyone one-off buy, the product that arrives is of the good, original tasting king! I'm not sure what has happened to this but I've been using this brand and flavor for years, but now it just tastes off. The color is lighter than it should be, the dry powder is the consistency of plaster of paris, the taste is too sweet for it to be the "classic" flavor, and it's gritty and falls to the bottom of my smoothie cup.It's almost like the formula has been hijacked and we're being sold fakes.I read another commenter say that the company had a bad batch, but this has been consistent for a while now, to the point where I'm afraid of buying anything edible on Amazon anymore. What is going on??

As a few have noted, there is something very wrong about this recently. Of the last three orders, the first and the third was with the awful taste. Nothing compared to how it used to be (have been using this for years). By awful I absolutely mean it. It is not possible to eat it no matter with what you mix it. Actually my throat hurts for a while after trying it. So could also be something unhealthy about it. I am a little concerned, I would advise not to buy until there is a clear statement about this.Amazon was great, thanks to Amazon for looking into this.Edit:This applies to both the 500g and the 1kg versionsEdit2:I called Sunwarrior directly and made them aware of the issue (that apparently almost all have recently).

Been buying this for years and loved the tasted. Signed up to subscribe and save and something tastes seriously wrong with this. It's so bad there's no way I will drink it.Contacted sunwarrior to ask if they had changed the formula as I found it terrible and they confirmed one batch was ‘not to standard’ and a new batch will be out in feb. Subscribed to their newsletter to be notified when it is out.

My tub from an older batch was great, and it's the hope of reverting to that that's kept me coming back.However, since then it's been bad tub after bad tub. And it seems like each tub from the "bad batch" is getting worse than the last. It actually burns your throat as you eat it.Will the bad batches ever end Sunwarrior and when? Not sure I can justify going on wasting my hard earned money like this, after my 5th or 6th bad batch now.From your official site, I can see the product has been rebranded, presumably with the taste fixed? I was hoping to receive a tub from this latest update however I've received a tub that's even worse than the last.

Having already tried the Sunwarrior chocolate and not only finding it quite palatable (especially with an extra spoon of cacao powder and some caramel flavouring), I thought I'd try the natural because I don't always want chocolate. I did read the reviews stating that something had happened and it tasted really bad, but I thought I'd take a chance based on the fact Sunwarrior had agreed there had been a dodgy batch but they'd rectified.The first tub arrived and there was powder all over the inside of the lid, not a good sign, and when I took off the seal it smelled absolutely rank, the only comparison I have is when I have discovered an old packet of rice or grain at the back of the cupboard that has been open far too long. I did taste a bit just in case, but it tasted like it smelled, no way I could consume that, and no wonder others complained.I checked over the seal and there was a bit that clearly hadn't been glued down that had let the powder out, probably during a knock in transit.Amazon were great and replaced it with a new tub, but being a little more cautious now, I check the seal first. As per the picture attached, there is a small section that isn't actually glued down again, so the product has not been sealed in properly. I can smell it through that gap, and sadly it's going to have to go back, it smells repulsive also. Both tubs seem to be from the same batch, made in July 2018. maybe their packing process has had a fault and has not been gluing down the seal properly.I'm not sure what to do next as the chocolate Sunwarror product did not upset my tummy like the previous pea based brand that I had. But I can't keep dealing with returns like this.
