These are nice tin cut-out soldiers to put beside your front door ...
These are nice tin cut-out soldiers to put beside your front door or fireplace. They are 44.5" tall from bottom of feet to tip of plume on the hat. There is a hanging hook on the back side of the peak of the hat. The stamped sheet steel is plenty strong, but needs to be supported at two points - foot and hat if they are used outside where they might be in the wind. That would mean drilling a hole through the feet at the bottom. Don't pay any attention to the reviews that complain about the studs and nuts that bolt the three piece soldier body together. That's fine. Also, pay no attention to the reviews that complain that the sheet metal is too light. It's fine also. This is not a free-standing soldier; it's to be hung or attached to a flat surface. The price is good and the quality is certainly adequate for a couple of Christmases or more.

They are so cute!
Ordered one set of these from another company and when they arrived, the heads were not straight and there was no way to straighten them. Returned them and found these and decided to try them. They arrived quicker than was expected and were packaged very well. They are so cute and will look great guarding my garage door next year. Too late for this year. Would order these from this company again.

Works well on a door or a wall.
I was looking for some free standing figures for the yard; I came across this. It is very "tinny" and must be hung on a wall or a door. Assembled okay but a bent screw required some work to take its nut. Looks quite good hanging on my dark green front door.

Metal Holiday Soldier
Beautiful detail, but a little on the flimsy side. These will bend. I did not use in the normal way I added a stake screwed into the back to put into the ground as I wanted these to flank an outdoor Christmas tree in the yard. I guess if they were attached to a wall wind would not be issue. Important to know they do not show up well at night so you have to have light shining on them. I used 2 solar rock lights to illuminate them.

Great tin soldier!
I got my first soldier, from this same link, 6 years ago. I hung it on my porch and it lasted year around for 6 years. It finally started fading out and got a bit of rust on the hat and so I came hunting for a second one. I hope that this one holds up as well. I like this soldier a lot!

wow
These are very tall. 45 inches to tip.of feather on hat. You have to assemble the face to chest and waist to legs with screws that come with them. No wonder Collections can't keep them in stock. I ordered 2 but one came without the bolt on back where face attatches to chest, not a problem....they are sending me another one after the holidays. They are sold out. Next year i will put one on each side of my porch, for now i have the good one by front door.

Flimsy, shabby construction and color/paints, my 5 year old can do better than this...
1. It is extremely FLIMSY. It is literally thin as a blade. It is less than 1/16" thick.2. It does not stand up on its own, it is too thin for that. You have to bolt it down or hang it on a hook.3. It looks like it was made by a kindergartner as an art project: spray paint is uneven, colors not bright, the midsection of the soldier is not aligned with his legs so it looks like his legs are separated from his torso.4. Overall, it is just shabbily made.5. The picture shows two soldiers, but you only get ONE.6. It requires assembly. Granted assembly is easy, but this was not mentioned in the posting.7. Now that I've received this in person, I wouldn't even buy this at a garage sale for $1. It looks nothing like the picture, the picture makes photoshopped models look more realistic than what it actually looks like in person.

Cute!
Just put mine out yesterday. They are not as short as I thought. They are very slim and not very sturdy. I tied them up with yarn so they won’t fly away. Overall, they are very cute and I love them. Will probably last a while if if you take care of them.
