Would give it 5 stars but
Product was great overall. Taste was good, not that chalky bulky stuff, blends smooth with a couple of shakes. Also, I am Lactose Intolerant and this did NOTHING to my stomach, which is a plus. One thing though, was that I didn't feel the recovery as much as I did with my previous Protein. I feel like I didn't see much gains in the month using this whole bottle.

BEYOND - great tasting, easy mixing, tons of protein - GREAT STUFF!
I was pretty apprehensive when this tanker barrel of Venum Whey Protein graced my doorstep. Oh, man, what if this stuff is gross? Now I have a lifetime supply of something I won't like...Could I have been MORE WRONG?This stuff tastes AMAZING!These days I do the easy cheat. I put the protein powder in the bottom of my stainless steel coffee thermos and let the keurig rip, steaming hot coffee right over my protein powder. I put the lid on and shake for 20 seconds. And if you have a great protein you get the clean version of a frappuccino. Not really, but that is what I tell myself, lol. And then I head out the door to deal with my Los Angeles freeways commute portion of the day. Properly fueled and caffeinated out of my mind. My favorite state of being! You can NOT perform this morning ritual with every protein. Some glob together, some taste horrible and it is is a chore, not a pleasure to sip and drive.Venum, however, ROCKS THE MORNING coffee. And I mean this stuff tastes AMAZING. It was like having a great huge steaming cup of hot chocolate after skiing. THAT is how good this stuff tastes.150 calories24 grams of protein3 grams carbSweetened with Stevia leaf - my favorite - and sucralose. Real dutch processed cocoa and tons of whey goodness.I am so very happy and pleased with my tanker of Venum. Definitely going to try other flavors, although I suspect 4 pounds is going to last me quite a while. Enough to share with all my crazy workout buddies, for the next two weeks, for sure! This is an easy and spectacular way to add an additional shot of protein to your diet without crazy expenses, cooking, or tons of calories. As we age we really do need a bit more protein and a lot less carbs. Venum is the perfect way to get this added shot of protein.

Clean, 1G sugar, NO garbage. I'm happy!
I'm VERY happy with Venum's new whey protein.First and foremost there is no spiking with cheap amino acids. Way to go Venum!I've complained about this with several other manufacturers that like to add taurine, glycine, glutamine, etc. to "aid" their products. Some even tout the benefits of adding them as though they are extremely beneficial. Amino acids are beneficial, but in whey protein (or products claiming to be 100% whey protein), they are nothing more than nitrogen spikers and cheap filler. So again, great to see some manufacturers producing good clean product.10-12 oz. of liquid with a scoop and a half produced the best flavor/thickness for me, but it is still a bit on the sweet side for my tastebuds. Others may find it about right. And compared to other brands, it is on the lower end of being too sweet... just needs dialed back a little bit or have more cocoa added to it. As for flavor, it's fine. Nice chocolate taste. One additional complaint about the product, that I do like to see on protein mixes, is typical amino acid profile per scoop/per 100g. I like to know where I am with my EAAs.NO soy lecithin. NO gluten. NO fillers. I'm loving it!

Yummy Chocolate Whey Protein
This naturally sourced powder delivers a hefty dose of whey protein, along with healthy chocolate in every serving (more than fifty in this enormous container). It is absolutely delicious. I mix it with nut milk--I switch between unsweetened almond, coconut, oat, and blends--and water or ice. You don't need to add sweetener or anything else. It is sweetened with stevia and sucralose, which is great for me, but if you are sensitive to either, it could be a problem. The label recommends using one or two scoops in a drink twice a day, but I think that's for bodybuilders and serious athletes. There are, actually warnings on the label about using it if you have certain medical conditions. Twice a day, especially with two scoops, would be a lot of protein for most people and could aggravate certain medical conditions. I just use half a scoop in my morning smoothie. That's about 12 grams of protein. It's low calorie and holds me until lunch.

New favourite
Offered a tub in exchange for a review, I was a little suspicious. I had not heard of the brand, and the bright snake look seems designed to appeal to the 20-yr-old demo, not this 50-yr-old. Nonetheless, I'm glad I tried it. It's awesome. It is a super fine powder, and mixes completely with just a swirl of a spoon. No clumping, no gritty bits. The taste is smooth, and sweet. Think milk chocolate milkshake. Cadbury's buttons? Touch of vanilla? Importantly, no weird aftertastes. What I really liked is it is made in the USA, with HACCP certification. And there are no 'proprietary blends' BS in the ingredients that can hide who knows what. So while the packaging screams KIDDIE, the manufacturing details and chemical make-up all scream RESPONSIBLE ADULT. Walter white would approve (if you could get him to accept the stevia).

It's actually pretty amazing how tasty whey protein can taste
It's actually pretty amazing how tasty whey protein can taste. Venum's Whey Protein powder tastes like rich chocolate and is a great protein supplement for anybody working out. I make a chocolate smoothie with this and a cup of milk (and sometimes a banana) after each trip to the gym.I don't have a very good sense of the pricing for whey protein powders. Venum's seems quite expensive, but it also contains 4 lbs worth of powder, which should last for a long while. My only nit-pick about this product is that it doesn't include a scooper. Most other protein powders I've used include a little plastic scooper to allow you to conveniently scoop the right amount of whey powder out. Granted, it's not necessary as I can always use a measuring cup, but it's a convenience I miss.
