This is a beautiful deck by a japanese tarot company. I love the art work, which is why I purchased it, but I knew it was not the real thing. The real deck is higher quality card stock, is highly collectible and brings a much heftier price tag ($60-$100+) and comes with both a japanese/english guide to the cards. Plus, it is very hard to get it outside of Japan. So even though, I knew it wasn’t the real deck, I grabbed it.Now I got no email with the guide as the description states, but you can go to the website listed on the box and download the guide, however it is in japanese only. The imagery loosely follows the Rider-Waite tarot, as the imagery is similar but also different. This is not a beginner deck as far as reading, it’s definitely more for someone who is a little more advanced in their tarot skills.This is also a great deck if you like collecting tarot decks or are an anime/manga fan, or a fan of that style of drawing, as I am. The deck is beautifully done. The card stock for this deck is a bit flimsy, but I like the size, as it makes it easy to shuffle and use. I purchased a second set as a back because i do really like this deck.Overall, I really like this deck a lot. I’d recommend it anyone who loves the style of drawing or is an intermediate reader. Even though it’s not the real deck it is more then worth the price they are charging, and is great deck to add to your collection.

This is a great tarot deck for more medium-advanced readers. The imagery is absolutely breathtaking however it is very loosely based on the original and might veer off too much for beginners. That's actually why I bought it and is not the reason I knocked off a star! I use different decks with different artwork for different things. The vibe of this deck did not disappoint HOWEVER the only reason I am taking away a star? The cardstock feels a little like cardboard...sort of like one of those freebie cards that comes in a candy? For the price however, makes sense...you just have to handle with care. Otherwise it's a great deck! Not too big, fits perfectly in my hand, I like that the four suits are actually inscribed on top with the correlating playing card decks (diamonds, spades, clubs, hearts). The artwork is beautiful, I CANNOT stress that enough! I got this deck for romance readings honestly and it gives a very dreamy air to it all. Looooove it.

The media could not be loaded. For $15, it’s a decent little deck. A very unique concept that I wish more authors and artists would delve into for tarot (the world could always use more bishies).I found out from one of the reviews that this “pocket” version of the original deck which was presented in the video for this listing. When I opened it, I definitely noticed the differences in color, borders, and card quality. The printing is nice, but I think because it is your standard knock-off, it’s difficult to connect for me personally. My Japanese is intermediate, so while I received the guidebook, there was a lot of kanji I didn’t recognize so it was unfortunately useless. I would have been more pleased if it actually came with the little guidebook instead of a pdf but what can you do.However, I do think if you are looking for something on the inexpensive side and small, this will do! The illustrations follow the Rider-Waite pictures almost to a T, which allows for beginners to use the traditional cheat sheets for the OG deck. I do enjoy that it is not a pip deck either- the ENTIRE deck is illustrated which is very nice.Overall, a 3/5 for me. I loved the fast shipping and full illustration aspect. Sadly, it just didn’t connect with me as much as I would have liked it to… I will definitely gift it to one of my baby tarot friends though. as I know this will help them a lot! :)

Decent copy. Cards are thin. Mine arrived damaged, but wasn’t worth the time and energy to return.
