excellent product
This stuff, although expensive, gives a really good finish on wood. I used 2½ tins of 2.5 litres to give 2 coats outside and 1 coat inside on a 4m x 3m log cabin. The Osmo I ordered was the clear, so no colour stain was in it, and it gave my natural white wood finish a pale yellow/golden hue. The finished effect was very slightly glossy after 2 coats. I also used it on some garden furniture, and it worked just as well on treated and stained Larch. I finally used it on some small pine tables.. I gave then 4 coats, and finished with a really superb glossy transparent finish, better than most varnishes. The Osmo was really easy to apply, my only problem was that in some lights, I couldn't see where I'd applied the last brushful, so had to go over again to make sure I'd covered the lot. I also bought the Osmo natural bristle brush, and it was also great. I think in all the applications, I only lost 2 bristles, and the brush was just the right size (50mm) for easy use. I did also buy some of Osmo's Brush cleaner and thinner. This stuff cost £13.75, but I found that for just brush cleaning, ordinary white spirit did the job just as well, so I wouldn't buy it just for cleaning.

Great product
After some research I went for this particular variant and was not disappointed. My outbuilding / office is clad with red cedar and needed treating, but I wasn't sure what color to use to make it look as authentic as possible. This was the right one!It was very easy to apply and dried relatively fast. It gave a very nice finish!Make sure you sand off the surface first so it sticks better and makes the wood more durable.

Good protection for cedar fence, recommended
Last year I built a Cedar slatted fence to screen off a shed and we wanted to slow down the natural "greying" process and provide some extra protection. This stuff is expensive but I think the most effective whilst being made mostly of natural products (thistle milk). 14 months on it has worked but there are a few patches of greying especially the top of the slats where the weather really hammers. I have just recoated and it has brought the wood back to life much as oiling wood generally does. Very pleased with it, would use again, also has not burn any or grass plants. Great price on Amazon. This version has an anti fungal as well. Very easy to apply and not too messy.

Awesome product- does what it says on the tin
Used this on my newly build red cedar clad cabin. It goes on easy and you can tell where you’ve applied as it really brings the colour of wood out! I love it! I was told by a decorating mate to make sure to pay attention to the outside temp when applying and for the drying period.. I managed to get 1 coat on before our temps dropped too low. 1 tin did my whole cabin outside (3.5xw4.5dx2.9h)... awesome. Even after 1 coat you can see the difference when it rains.. the water just beads and then runs off (I’ll attach a pic)One tip - if it’s windy when you apply and find that dust or shaving is being blow onto your surface just leave it. Once the oil soaks into the cladding the dust etc just brushes off with a soft brush.
