Chicago Winter Ready
I'm not the type of person who gets terribly excited about shoes, or any variation of (wedges, sandals, boots, etc). In saying that, I literally had these Teva boots delivered 10 minutes ago - earlier than expected, might I add - and I am very excited.I had a little trouble actually getting my foot into the boot because the area around the ankle (on the outside) is stiff, rubber-like material, which is fine, it doesn't seem to bother my foot from the inside. Once I shoved my foot into the actual boot, it fit perfectly. If you have wide feet - maybe order a wider boot if it's available. I normally wear an 8.5, but knowing I'd want to wear thick socks, I ordered a 9. The 9 fits perfectly. There is a slight squeaking noise as I walk, but I think that will go away once I break them in - plus, as long as my feet stay warm/dry here in Chicago, I don't care if the boots make noise.I really needed something that was light weight and with really good treads (I have a bad back and am terrified of slipping on snow and ice). This boot is very light weight and the treads are deep and I feel very grounded and sturdy as I walk. The only con (and it wasn't reeeaally a "con") was the shipping dates. Whenever you order from a shipper other than Amazon, I feel like the dates change so much. The original email from Teva said first week of December. The email from Amazon said expected delivery dates would be between December 22-January 4. That being said, I heard a thump at my door as the delivery woman hurled my package at the door. Today is November 24, and again, NOT complaining that I got this package early, but I live in a bad neighborhood where packages are stolen all the time. When I'm not expecting or looking for a package, the chance of it being lifted and me not evening know it are much greater.ONE more thing: Amazon owns Zappos and my boyfriend encouraged me to check out the latter site for boots. I found the exact same Teva boots but they were full priced. I will ALWAYS go to Amazon before I order from Zappos after seeing that.

Weathering the Wisconsin Winter
I had a pair of Teva Haley boots before this; they were fantastic, until it reached about 20ºF and started snowing. So I upgraded to the Jordanelle's and my feet are happily insulated and snow-free. It's been an especially cold winter in Wisconsin and these boots are doing me just fine (with my smartwool socks on, of course). I love the slim profile of Teva boots in general. This boot, in particular, has pretty good grip on the bottom and I can walk through snowy/slushy parking lots without a problem. They do squeak a bit when I walk (the insulated liner rubbing against the boot shell), but this is hardly noticeable outdoors-- and who the eff cares if you squeak a little when it's -10ºF! I just want to be warm.My one complaint is that my feet will get pretty sweaty if I wear them all day, or go somewhere warm for a while (like a shopping mall). I've asked other winter veterans how to fix this and everybody just shrugs their shoulders. I guess it's just a part of wearing insulated snow boots?Bottom line: I would buy them again.

Good Snow Boots
First, your feet will sweat. That is just how waterproof boots are. Your feet won't get wet, from the outside. That being said, I wear these boots at least twice a week, even if it is above freezing. In warmer weather I fold down the boots shell (similar the the look of double-tongued sneakers). ON cold days my feet were plenty warm even when it was below 0 (Fahrenheit) outside. The pink color is nice, but has rubbed off along the gray bottom portion of the boot. They are indeed very comfortable. The liners CAN but should NOT be worn without the rest of the shoe. They make cute slippers, but the outsides of your feet pull against the fabric because the booties don't have much of a sole. I have wider feet, so it may not be an issue for somebody with narrow feet. The shell of the boot MUST be worn with the liners. My feet sweat pretty bad, and on a warm day after walking over 2 miles, you can wring it out from the liners. Thankfully, they are fully removable and washable- thats a great feature that works very well.

They're pretty good, as long as it's not too cold out and you aren't hiking downhill.
I bought them for school. I'm in a wildlife management/ forestry program and we spend at least 8 hours a week out in the field doing various tests and labs. They look really nice, they are very comfortable except for the heel on one of them, it digs into my heel/ ankle after a few hours, but it's not too bad. The main issue I have with them is that they aren't very warm. I had 2 pairs of thick fuzzy socks on under these, and my toes were still freezing. It was 20 degrees out at the time, but I have owned boots before that were better insulated and warm. So, I wouldn't recommend using them as a winter boot if you're going to be outside for more than an hour or so. They're waterproof as advertised. The treading on the bottom is slanted backward, if that makes any sense, so that if you're trying to make your way down a steep slope it's easy to slip. Going uphill they're just fine, but I fell flat on my ass (for the first time in years!) while doing a lab one day while trying to go downhill.

Painful
OK the one good thing about these boots is they keep my feet very warm. Warm and waterproof! The bad thing is they look like clown shoes. I ordered a half size up because of the reviews, and they fit but are super wide. But I figured they are snow boots and snow boots usually are big. Also these boots are super painful!! The back part of the boot where the hard waterproof part meets the soft higher part of the boot rubs my achilles tendon area so bad!! Like the boot bends in there and just rubs and rubs. I was just out in the snow for about and an hour and my ankle is super red! It felt like someone was constantly scraping me with hard plastic! They seemed ok when I tried them on but it's when they start to get broken in and bend is when it starts getting painful. These boots keep my feet warm but unless you just plan to sit there with them on and never walk in them I would not recommend these!

Teva Snow Boot
This is a great looking boot. I am the biggest fan of Teva as i have found them to be the most comfortable footwear. The boot has a brilliant inner liner boot so i would recommend when ordering them, to order a good whole size up than your normal size.

Excellent outdoor boots!
Having read other reviews I ordered these a size larger than normal which was definitely the right thing to do. Imagine that the inner boots are your real size so the outer boot need to be one size larger. They are a bit fiddly but worth it as the inner boots are very comfortable for around the house and together they are very warm outside. Have yet to try them in really Arctic conditions but so far so good. They came very promptly so full marks for the seller.

Great shoe tried and tested in the snow not a problem with grip and feet stayed dry. Would have scored higer but you will definitely need to order bigger as the are very small fit. I am a 3 order 3.5 and was way to tight so ordered 4.5 and its bit big but in the winter i do wear big fluffy socks so it doesnt matter.
