Jamie Oliver Wine Glasses, 35 cl, Set of 4

Really pleased with these wine glasses. The heavier than usual chunky stems and bases are so sensible and allow greater stability from tipping over. We've all seen our friends/guests accidentally knock their wine over :-) The appearance is of good quality and the design so practical and stylish that they look equally good in a relaxed, bistro type setting, a mock medi-eval banquet or a formal table setting. Surprisingly, although the bowls tend to appear larger than the usual tall stemmed wine glasses, when pouring a "normal" measure into the glass the portions do not appear mean. They are also multi-functional and double beautifully as serving glasses for light desserts, ice cream or retro prawn cocktail starters. It seems that these glasses are very popular at the moment and prices are being hiked up, no doubt in time for Christmas but they are still worth paying full price.PS Sought to buy a second set but prices are now far too silly. Have purchased a similar set of IKEA 365+ wine glasses at £1 each, just as good to look at, though wider at the top but I'm a very happy bargain finder :-o

I love these wine glasses. Our previous glasses were tall with dainty stems, and whilst beautiful were completely impractical. These ones are shorter and sturdy and less likely to knock over and break. They look good and they're practical and they can go in the dishwasher. Perfect!Make sure these are the right size for you. I didn't notice until I unpacked them that these are only 35cl rather than the 45cl I meant to buy. There is a considerable difference so be warned! Of course some people may prefer a smaller glass. I have included a photo to help illustrate the difference. I prefer the 45cl.

I've been using these wine glasses for years as they are sturdy and tend not to break as easily as standard glasses when the children load the dishwasher, but they were broken on arrival this time so delivery was substandard. Would otherwise buy again.

probably the 3rd or 4th set of these glasses that I have bought in recent years. Like the fact that they are short and stumpy-more practical for everyday use!

Lovely set of 4 glasses that are well made. Inscribed with ‘Jamie Oliver’ discreetly. Good value.

Bought as a gift for elderly. Great sturdy base and much less risk of toppling over with shaky hands etc. Glass not too fine like some but equally not thick. Feels good on the mouth when drinking. Can be used for wine and soft drinks or probably even beer. Liked very much by recipients. Easy to clean. Dishwasher friendly. Suitable for many occasions. Also despite sturdiness not heavy to lift.

I bought a set of these in TK Maxx for a bargain price, but managed to drop one on the floor. Whilst the glasses are indeed robust, the quarry tiled floor was too much for it - it didn't shatter, just split in two. Not the fault of the glass - more of an operator error. The glasses, as the Champagne glasses, are aesthetically pleasing and delightfully chunky - work so well for a kitchen supper. I absolutely love them!

These glasses are great - kind of chunky and rustic in feel - nothing like the fine wine glasses we usually use. But when my husband kept knocking his glass off the side of the sofa and breaking the stem, I decided it was time to invest in some new glasses. Looking at these I doubt very much they'll be as delicate as our previous glasses. (No incidents yet to report how they actually hold up). The only thing I'd say is that they are quite large glasses so it's easy to pour large glasses of wine. Not always a problem, but hey, worth noting! Dishwasher safe. Not much else to say really - they do the job! I'll be investing in more too over time...
