Libby Half-yard Ale glasses with Stand are the perfect gift for a beer lover.
These glasses are perfect for the beer lover who likes to use appropriate glassware for their brews. They were used to provide beer to the horse and carriage driver who had to remain with the horses. The tavern owner would hand them up to the driver and they were stable in their stands. These are excellent representations of a centuries old tradition.

Great product for an AMAZING price
I bought this item at 90% off its original cost. I was going to be happy if it was even all in one piece. I was not sure if it would just be a cool decoration, or actually a convenient, functioning glass. I was happily surprised by it working perfectly as a functional glass! I have a 64 OZ. Growler of beer at home that I use to fill this bad boy up after a bad day at work. Great buy! Great conversation piece! Every bar needs to have its own custom beer glasses, I am glad that this is one of the glasses in mine!

Cool addition to beer glass set
This is a cool item to own, especially if you are a beer drinker. Just don't great quality.MSRP price that's listed is humurous to say the least. Quality is mediocre at best, the one i received had an uneven screw that is flimsy so the top portion doesn't stay in place as well as i'd like to.

Very nice
The glass is great quality, the stand not so much, but obviously this is meant for the glass, not the stand, therefore making the stand a great plus. Glass itself is very thick and durable. Pleasantly surprised.

What can you say about a half yard beer glass? It's fun but improbably practical. The stand is great for making sure it doesn't get knocked over. Even fits in the freezer if I lay it in diagonally.Only complaint is that the wood looks like something you'd make a cheap TV stand out of. Definitely would be cooler in a darker stain.

Great fun
I received some of these as a gift in the past and loved them. I get tons of comments from anyone that sees them and everyone wants to try drinking from them. This time I bought them as a gift for a friend who has admired them when he came over for a visit and a beer.Just be careful once you've had a few drinks from them that you place them back into the holder carefully as they are a little fragile.

Defective Form of the Half Yard
Libbey is an American company, but this Half Yard beer drinking vessel was made in China. Every product that I have ordered that was made in China has been of extremely Low Quality. This product is no exception. The bottom of this Half Yard is NOT flat as it should be ! A big dimple of glass on the bottom does not allow this item to sit very well on the wooden stand.

nice glass, junky stand
The glass is nice. It seems sturdy. Problem is, the stand is junk. First, the stand is not screwed or glued together correctly. It's loose and allows the glass to move around, not sturdy at all. Second, the neck of the glass is too big for the stand! You have to apply pressure to get the glass into the stand. That is, of course, just begging for a cut up hand when the glass breaks when you try to pull it out of the stand to wash it after drinking a 1/2 yard of ale! I have had great results with Libbey glassware before and the glass itself appears to be quality but the stand if garbage.
